Comedy gold is what that stand is Laughing pain in the arse, as it leans so far over, if I want to work on it upright I have to stand it on 2 house bricks Mr. Green

Thanks for the compliment Thumbs Up

I scored myself a cafe racer seat, took as part payment for some work carried out. I've sat it on for the photo, for fit, not too sure if I should take off the rear mud guard, would mean relocating the rear light.
Also wondering on the hump, spray matt black or leave silver?

All fitted, with the aid of some rubber door stops, bolts and pipe clamps Smile
Next is to find a replacement rear lamp and indicators, the wires are breaking up so will just replace them. I have a pair of rearsets, just not yet worked out the fitting, I'll have some tabs welded to the frame for them at some point, but untill I work out how to make the linkages, they will stay in the spares bin Smile

They usually just turn the existing gear shift lever through 180 degrees to use it with rearsets. Has the added benefit of converting it to "racing change" (1 up, 4 down) at no extra cost.

Rear brake usually just needs you to take a shorter pull-rod direct to the rearset lever. So a bit of bar, threaded at one end and bent over at the other and on a pre 1986 bike, the brake light only needs to come on with one of the brakes.

It would look pretty boss with underslung, rectangular mirrors.

I'd loose the flashers and that whole tail light unit and fit a BSA bantam "wipac" tail light.

EDIT: That IS an expansion chamber exhaust. The double cones are inside it. One of the reasons they do such good wheelies.

The brake side rearset has a bracket for my rear brake switch, I don't have a front brake switch, so handy to know only one will suffice Thumbs Up

I'm on the look out for the right morrors, some chrome rectangles would indeed look boss Wink I'm loving the look of that tail light as well Very Happy I'm torn on losing the flashers, my sensible side says keep them, but I've been riding the past 2 months without them working Rolling Eyes I'm also wanting to get a single 7"" headlamp and maybe putting a small smoked fly screen.

The before and after pics should be good on this project.

I think the rear hump should go gloss black to match the tank. (Or chrome paint to match the front fender maybe)

I'm not sure i wanted to go down the paint route, I've always had the rat look in mind, so matt black has so far been the theme, but now the silver hump is on there, i'm liking it and might be swayed, I was thinking about having it black with a fat sliver stripe running down the middle of the tank and hump Question

This though has been saved in my files for ages and is so clean, kind of secretly want to make mine the same/similar.. Mr. Green

Cool! It still needs a spannie though dude!

For somthing different I'd have a matt black chamber with a short slashcut or shotgun pipe over the silencer, so that it just looks like a big bore fat pipe.

How does she run anyway?

I really like the chrome pipe, and kind of hate the look of the expansion chambers, although the one on it is supposedly a expansion chamber with double inner cones, I'm tempted the get it cut an re welded at a steeper angle Thumbs Up
She runs pretty good for an old bird, I use her every day, she starts on the 1st or 2nd kick and has only let me down twice in the rain, fixed with a good squirt of WD40 I rode her to Hastings from Folkestone on this years mayday 100 miles there and back which cost me £5 petrol. I've had the head off to re place the gaskets and quite surprised how clean the piston and liner is, gave it a good de coke and polish and popped it all back together. I guess I have a good one or just pretty lucky as most people say they are made of cheese Laughing

ebay? about £2.50 a pair? from Hong Kong?
sorry to tell you dude, but they last about 4 weeks before they crack at the point where the head of the indicator meets the stalk. Sad

I can recommend the proma pipe.

I have one fitted to my h100 powered MT50, goes like hell in such a light bike. But mine was a proma tall pipe, goes up round the engine trailie style.

That h100 is looking so much cooler than when it started.

Could be an MB50. They had discs and they are basically the same bike, in fact the h100A is called the MB100 over in Oz land but the H100S is a H100 there. I do like that pipe. I love how expansion chambers work.
