ah - you approve, looks better in the flesh...have changed all engine bolts, washers etc. Changed the rear torque arm, changed the front fork springs to progressive springs (kept original oil density though), changed the exhaust so the traffic can hear me coming (major grin factor for me when they move over for me!) and have had a new lower yoke made for me too - if you look at the standard fixtures and fittings on the sv you'll see why. Nasty finish.

Oh and I had the fork lowers taken off, cleaned and polished too.

The sv is a nice cheap bike to buy, but only cos Suzuki cut corners with finish - if anyone has got one, start looking at bits and bobs on it now before corrosion kicks in. Get copper slick on the bits that matter and look after that stainless exhaust now!

Yeah Fast Bikes, they did a top review about the sv, going on about it being a good mid range bike - good prices etc. Then I posted a detail about me on mine and they said it was a shame I'd spent such money on an sv!!!!

Contradictory or what!

Im not arsed though, what bike one rides is all down to personal taste

just cos i feel like digging up a thread (hell its happening enough), how much roughly did it all cost. Im not worried about the new yoke and forks, but hugger, cowl, colourmatched grip etc?

Also that exhaust is pretty sweet, was it home made?
