Hi guys, some of you may have seen my other thread regarding overcharging on my 95 ZX6R. I have tested it today and I am getting 16+ volts at 5000rpm, regulator is obviously fried. I have scoured the web and I cannot find one in Australia for less than $200!! I have been looking at the regulator and it is a 6 pin, and looks the same as quite a lot of regulators on ebay.au, does anyone know what the difference is between them are they internally wired differently? Found one for a 98 R1, looks identical! Will it work? Thanks guys

The one I had on my CBR600 was from a Triumph Speed four. Worked fine for around 20,000 miles. I had to look up a wiring guide for both bikes to make sure it was all hooked up correctly but there were no issues after that.

essentially a reg/rec is a reg/rec, any 3 phase one will work,

some have an extra earth, or an extra output + wire but the just get joined,
there are also electronic versions out there which are miles more reliable
