Ive bought a 1991 Br-J to strip back and modify but firstly im aiming to strip it, clean and service it to get it running and through the MOT before stripping again to modify. The front mudguard is damaged but possibly repairable though id rather replace with a solid part and the LH (Battery) side panel is missing, which other models and years could i use? Colour and condition unimportant as itll be repainted after the MOT.

TIA

With your mudguard, the studs on the forks are probably the off centre ones ; If you take the mudguard off and look at where the drilled holes are on each side (2 on each side) one hole is higher than the other.

You have to be careful with some aftermarket mudguards & chinese ones as the holes are in line / parallel.

All the best,

David.

Mudguard removed and indeed one hole is higher Wink
Ive found a CB125 mudguard in better condition than mine (wouldnt be hard). I presume itll fit if it has one higher hole as well?

Hi there,
I have not got the faintest clue ; but if you posted on a couple of areas of this forum, or others, you may get a response back from a CB125 owner who may be able to give you the dimensions between the holes before you make a costly mistake on Flea-bay....

All the best,

David.

Pretty certain the BR-K side panels will also fit. It's a shame, as I have a pair of BR-J side panels and a mudguard that have been sanded down in my parent's house in Scotland, but I won't be back there until Christmas, as I'm living in Belgium for a year! Let me know if, by some stroke of bad luck, you haven't found either by then!
