before i met the missus we used to go out to our local a lot

Serious question lads, how are you going about the "would like to have kids?" question?

I really don't want to have kids, but also feel it would be selfish (and perhaps self-defeating) to force that idea on someone you love.

But it's really not a nice thing to really hammer in when you first meet someone, and nor is it something that makes you look overly attractive.

And yet, "accidents" happen, and often women suddenly become very interested in children, even if when you met them they had no interest at all.

Just wondering on thoughts basically.

Not to mention I'm sure "I don't want kids" on a dating site is as big a red flag as saying you smoke, are under 5'6" or work in IT. Razz

Not going to put every body off, but not precisely what most people are after.

I've listed myself as 'undecided' and would avoid any conversation about it for as long as possible. I don't really want kids, but I'm really shit at long term relationships, so if I ever actually did meet someone who I did actually think I could spend my life with, and she wanted children, I'd probably concede my views as there's unlikely to be another woman like that for me.
