Watching this with great interest. Kind of wanted this bike since Paddy got hold of it, but I never have any money at the moment. Sad

Sweet. I will actually bother to ride over at some point...but it's such a bloody long way. Or you could bring it to the BBQ. Mr. Green

If I have to ride a bike 160 miles home while hungover, I think I'd rather it not be a horrendously loud litre twin that is likely to eat me alive if I make a mistake. Laughing

The engine currently in there is knackered needs a topend and the main bearings are rumbling but for the price paid it is a insignificant cost to do a full rebuild.

Hence why I would consider any engine, but the engine looks very nice now I have degreased it.

Well I figured this needed an update!

I have ordered a 3MB head (took long enough) to go with the 3MB00 Cylinder won it on eBay for the tidy sum of £25 now need to send the head and barrel off to someone to clean it up.

Cases need to be split still and bearings and seals sorted then I need to source and rad for it (Any recommendations?)

I just took any high spots off my TDR cylinder head with wet n dry after it battered the head like that. Was perfectly fine for another 15000miles before I sold it.

Infact, the head on the X7 looks very similar. Smoothed it off, rode it 1300miles in a weekend, never caused an issue.

Not really sure how the 'Squish' will be an issue as your taking metal from the combustion chamber rather than the head to barrel mating surface. Itll probably lower the compression marginally, but not enough to notice...
