I have 2 of these, in bits, sitting in my shed. I'm hoping to get one running to original condition........and to keep this thread updated Smile
The 1st job will be to strip and repaint/respray the frame.
You'll have to excuse the crappy camera phone photo's

The next job is to rub these down and get them powder coated.

First part powdercoated, just to see what it would look like.
Turned out OK, the rest should be done this week i hope.

The lions share of the powdercoating is now finished.
Next job is sourcing the cable to build a new loom, and i must get started on the engine rebuild soon.

Yes, i know it's been a long time since my last post.
My excuse is that i've been enjoying my own bike, not restoring somebody else's.

Today i've got the tyres off the wheels, which go away for stripping and re-spoking tomorrow.
Considering they've been on for approx 25 yrs, one of them was still inflated. 3 off came away OK, but one received the angle grinder treatment Smile

Is this one of those pre-CBT 125s that produces for bhp than a modern one?

It was registered in 1973 and produced 15bhp when new.
It's certainly no rocket but does have sentimental value for my friend who owns them.

I now have the head off and the piston out of one of the engines. I'll find somewhere close who will check the bore and piston sizes etc.
A mate of mine restores classic cars for a living so hopefully he'll know someone fairly decent.

Got the wheels back.
The hubs have been vapour blasted and fitted to new rims and stainless steel spokes and new rubber fitted.

Must do some work on the LandRover wheels in the background sometime Embarassed
