I have a derbi sends 50cc 2 stroke 02 plate... Today I have removed the air filter and replaced it with the original air box cause it was causing problems...
When I put it on I started my bike, but it won't idle, I can put revs into it and it won't cut out, but if I leave it it slowly starts to cut out
Any ideas?

Idle screw..my guess is the airfilter caused it to run lean, so the previous owner turned the idle down.

It's normally the middle screw on the carb. There's a screw you'll need a screwdriver to adjust, don't touch that. I'd google the model of your carb for a breakdown.

The big silver screw that sticks out quite a ways (look at the right side of the image above).

Turn it in (clockwise) half a turn at a time and try and start the bike. If you end up screwing it in a lot and the bike still refuses to idle you have a problem elsewhere.

Thanks... As I turn the screw it gets better but still cuts off and about 30 seconds... Would that be the jet needle inside? I'll get bike shop to do it if it is

Got it working, adjusted the idle screw and it was just too cold and where the carb was being moved about... Cheers
