When changing my foot pegs for a wider set, I managed to grind off too much from the spring trying to make it fit. So now it doesn't fit at all. Dumb.

2 questions:

Do foot pegs really need springs?

Where can I get some new springs?

Not really but it might be an mot failure to not have them return properly, and there's the possibility of them being flipped up when you want to put your foot on them.

Your bike manufacturer's dealer / a spring shop that sells a spring the right shape.
