Started playing with a few bits today, so figured out whats going on. The bike does have all OEM panels, but at some point it was struck from behind, breaking the tail unit, this was repaired I assume with a woven mat race panel as the curves are spot on, but half of the left panel is a pattern attached to the OEM one. They were fibreglassed and riveted together, I have already saved the joiner piece and may yet save the right hand side, but the left is scrap (unless anyone needs to cut the back off to repair another panel?)

The subframe is undecided, the rear loop is bent, but the main frame is square, so may bend back, but the undertray has been destroyed and a new bracket for the numberplate has been welded on, again I may be able to work some magic and save it.

The exhaust appears to be a mismatch of Ethos half system pipes up with a full system Y pipe :/ it ideally needs changing as its a little loose, but will do for now, might get GF link pipes and have shotgun pipes.

Aside from that nothing really out of the ordinary Smile

Now sporting a set of red Samco hoses that used to belong on my NC30 as well as some plain black grips, similar to Renthals instead of the shitty tacky RVF grips it had on it, similar to these ones

Mr. Green

Decided I'm after Silhouette bodywork, going to be sprayed in a version of Type 1 NC30 colours Smile

Ordered a new rear brakeline as the one it has on has those shitty blue and red alloy fixings that I wouldn't trust to stop a bicycle! Should have a lovely host of bits to fit in the new year!

You may, at the current exchange rate, £130 roughly, adding import tax it'll likely end up around the £160 mark, not bad when Tyga carbon ducts are £150!

Easy mate, find it on auctions.yahoo.co.jp, email Moriwaki Man (unobtanium@live.jp) with the link and a maximum bid if its not BIN. If BIN he'll ask you to pay up front before he buys it. There are various fees, but they're perfectly reasonable Thumbs Up

Gibbons have been allowed to work on this bike before! Its missing an entire long velocity stack :/ got one coming from Oz tho, will account somewhat for the massively high idle.

New rear brake line on the way, went for solid red in the end, usually go for clear or black but felt like a change! Also started fitting my Dragon Supercorsas, instead of the mismatched and badly worn tyres it came with, need new Abba fittings to get the front out Smile

The screen appears to be genuine Honda, but has been subject to some overspray. Half an hour with some cutting compound and its pretty much been taken back to under where the fairing overlaps Mr. Green

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!!

https://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb73/sam_billing_91/IMG_92035376709554.jpg

Had word that the parts should be shipped on Wesnesday, so hopefully not much longer to wait until they arrive Very Happy

In other news, the NC23/30 has a different Abba stand fitting to the 35 and 29, fortunately a mate was selling his paddock stand, so called dibs on it lol means I should have an easier time come wheel changes Thumbs Up

Bad news.

Less than happy chappy, no lovely Kevlar air ducts for me. Unfortunately the company won't have them in stock for over a month so the decision was made to drop my air ducts off the order, so I'll be doing another full of extended wait items (bodywork etc)
