BlueX5 will accept you as you have a Mk1 Fireblade.

Sorry..its been a long day..and still chasing broken down cars as we speak..
ok lets clear up the confusion....
both tanks on both bikes are stock....the R1 however has a custom paint job..cant really tell from the pic but it has glitter speckles in it...the guy i bought it from had it done...hence why the yamaha badge might not be in the correct place.

Is it a badge or a sticker? Because that is the FI model style tank on a 99 styled bike, I like it, but the design is wrong Laughing

Personally, I wouldn't give a damn but it stuck out so bad.

I had to double check...obviously i haven't had the bike from new...so there was a chance you might have been right...however:

here is another angle of my bike/tank:

here is a stock pic of the 99 R1

https://cdn.yamaha-motor.eu/design-cafe/1999/1999_YZFR1_4%20PS%2001.jpg

and a stock pic of the revised 2002 R1

https://cdn.yamaha-motor.eu/design-cafe/2002/2002_yzf-r1_static08%2002.jpg

this angle shows my tank much better and its clearly the right one for the year. Smile

Yeah quite possibly...haven't been down on the bike for a few weeks, not too many venturing out in this weather.

You'll probably see me parked up in my Kartec van when i'm on shift too..I work NW london so normally grab a tea at the ace inbetween jobs. Smile
