Built up the rad mounts with some fiberglass to smooth them out a bit, as my metal fabricating skills aren't the prettiest.

Trial fitted rads, need some better sized washers, and probably some rubber grommets for them too.

Will hopefully have the bits to get it rolling at the weekend, engine in etc.

Spent a couple of hours yesterday bolting all my parts together.
Some spacers and adapters are needed for things like rear engine mount, front and rear axle spacers, swing arm spacers etc, so will measure what needs making and get on that in the next week or so I guess.

Pretty happy with geometry and look to be fair. Plenty of room for airfilter/airbox under the seat.

Nothing really exciting. Wrapped my new fork guards in white carbon vinyl and whacked a couple of Showa stickers on to match the Showa shock. (Fhowa forks huh Laughing

Got a black fender on the way to keep with the RS125 rep theme, not gonna bother with the front hugger. Going for the SuperMoto style.

Decided to bang the hugger on the front. Couple of holes stuffed through the fork guards, and it's tied on nicely. Might tart it up with a couple of lines of Fiberglass and some black paint if I can be bothered.

I'm feeling an oval headlamp mounted just under the front number board, between the fork legs.

Worked out the gearing. Assuming an RS125 does 95mph. This supermoto should in theory do 19% less speed, so around 76mph. Should be fun! Very Happy

I have no experience of pit bike gearing, but if the std gearing on my KMX is good for 80mph, about 84mph with the new taller tyres, with a 24bhp engine, then would the Pit bike not pull at least the same if not more?

A smaller rear sprocket would cause clearance issues with the chain and swing arm anyway I think. And I think having more torque is better as it's going to be used for track mainly. Should be a little wheelie monster though. Aha.

But my forks have 4 pimch bolts in them so even without the nut the spindle can't go anywhere.

Time is the biggest killer at the moment. Just don't have enough of it.
I will be aiming to have this finished for the summer so I can use it on the road, and take it to some supermoto days with the PBC lot.
Need to buy parts, and get it running. It's pretty close to being a functional bike now.

Once it's running and reliable, I will be riding it at Whilton, Stretton, Caxton and Red Lodge on a monthly/6-weekly basis I hope. I miss the days of doing 12-15 track days a year! Sad

First stop on this beast will be Whilton Mill though. Nice big straight will let is stretch it's legs and pull in some 70mph action I hope.

The R123 is getting rare now as it's from the early RS125, and the late AF1 IIRC (Kickstart will correct me on that I am sure).

Rotax 122 would be a better choice. I picked mine up on Ebay.

My last 2t pit was built with a TZR125 (same as DTR125) engine.
I've got friends who have grafted NSR125 engines into pits, and also seen a Suzuki RG125 engine put into one as well.
