Shock and spring were looking a little scabby, so I stripped it down, cleaned it all up, and painted the spring piss yellow.
It's actually gold, and looks gold in real life!
I'm not convinced with this shock tbh, but will stick with it for the time being unless I can source a more suitable unit for a good price.
305mm eye to eye, and roughly a 750lb spring.
Frame is going to be painted silver. Wheels, I am un-decided. Original colour for wheels on the AF1 were red, but am tempted to go white for ultimate bling.
Gold will clash with the sprocket and accessories I think.
Black is bland.

Disc sits lovely. Caliper is spot on too. Just need to make up a little ally bracket / torque-arm to go across the top caliper bolt holes.
Wheels are now stripped down, bearings removed, and in the back of my van. Dropping them in for powder coating tomorrow so I can get some tyres bought and fitted.
Any suggestions on colour?
Red (Original colour) I think will just look shit.
Gold - I think there will be too much gold, and too many different shades of gold if I do the wheels gold.
The only other colour I think will look good is white. But I am open to suggestions?

Oops! Just bought a pair of tyres.
£74 on the pair, delivered.
Went for the Michelin Power Pure SC. Nice and racey. They also have the dual compound which will help with straight line tyre shredding on the rearm as I don't think 13" scooter tyres were meant to be laying down up to 30bhp of 2 stroke madness.

Them stickers are sweet. Recon they'd fit on 13" wheels okay though?
I've dropped the rims in for powdercoating. £60 for the pair, and he will do the welds around the sprocket carrier with a filler primer or something, to hide the messy welding.
They're getting painted in a proper bright white like my R1 wheels were. It's the same place doing these.
If I want a second colour I guess I can just mask off half of each wheel, key, and paint them black/gold/red or whatever other chosen colour I go for.
I cant want to get them back and wrap them in Michelin rubber. ____________________ - Honda XL125S - CBR400 NC29 - VFR400 NC30 - CBR400 NC29 - TL1000R - TeeZeR Pit! - Bandit 12 - YZF450 - LuckyMX125 Pit! - Demon X XLR 140 Pit!

How about a bit more green or maybe even the lavender.
For the half and half or rim tape colour that is.
Tyres sound well balanced and suited. Was there much choice?
I'd have wanted yet another set of SAVA MC31's but not sure if they are even available in 13". ____________________ Chase my Witch up, Catch my Snitch up.

Rather than forking out £100 for the frame powder coating, just to realize I need to weld something else to it, or change something in a months time. I decided to give it a coat of smooth silver hammerite.
I've mixed it down a tiny bit with thinners to make it go on nicer. It needs a couple more coats, then I will go heavy on it with the lacquer to give it a nice finish.
Waiting on some bits and pieces. Wheel bearings, Chain and new front sprocket, And some hardware odds and sods.
Hopefully on Saturday I can get a rolling chassis.
