That is seriously cool Mike. What did you think of it? It looks fast enough but what are it's chances?

Ageist bastards.
If you're fast enough you're good enough.

Thanks for the onboard Mike, and good luck. Cool Thumbs Up

The bike is very good, brimming with innovations and clever features. Extremely light due to the extensive use of carbon fibre, the only issue was the front suspension, well I say issue, it just gives a different feel to the way the bike turns into a corner compared to a 'normal' machine.
The change of direction is Uber quick and effortless which suited me as I'm a bit lazy moving on the bike!
We will have to see how Gezza gets on with it at the GP.

About it being nimble, well to be fair Mike you had been riding the 848s before you got on that carbon girder. Razz

I think that video highlighted 2 things. How fantastic Cadwell is and how committed you were on that clear lap. You appear to have plenty of confidence in it..more so than Jeremy at the moment who looked awkward.

Redding is a legend. Needs a factory bike!

Anyone else lolling at the really awkward Alex Lowes interview when they were speaking about Scott?

I missed the interview but did see Jeremy bin it twice.
As someone else said, put it in the van. I don't think he will though. Smile

Y'know the Crutchlow situation...Must be having an effect on his pit crew too what with Dovi and Iannone both using the upgraded motor etc.

Anyways...Go Scott Go and here's hoping Lorenzo ruffles Marquez for a few laps.

Just got back from a few days camping at Silverstone!
A very interesting experience, 30 years since I saw a GP, that was also at Silverstone, if you've never been you need to do it at least once, to see what all the fuss is about.
The bikes sound nothing like they do on the telly, Rossi's and Lorenzo's Yamahas sound fantastic as did the the Repsol Hondas, the rest of 'em sounded rough as old nails, until they hit max revs and yes they are fcukin' noisy!
The Moto2 bikes are mental, maxxed out all the time, like a swarm of, very, angry wasp!
The Moto3 bikes sounded the loudest to me, but a very flat tone.
We had tickets for the Granstand at Club so watched the racing from there, had a look from the stands at Luffield and Abbey as well.
We enjoyed all the races, the MotoGp was worth the wait especially Rossi nabbing third!
One thing I can't fathom is Marquez, the other riders seem to hand everything to him on a plate, why was he allowed to go out in qualifying unchallenged, he had an empty track for the whole session?
He still can't make a clean pass though!

As for the facilties at the campsite, can't really fault them at all.
We stayed in the "Lively" area, wasn't as lively as BCF BBQ!
Toilets and showers were spot on, especially considering the numbers of people there.
Free transport to and from the circuit, ran all day every day.
Live music, fairground, stunt riding display all free!
Plenty of food and drink available and a food shop, prices were a bit steep, but we expected that.

All in all, a good four and a half days, very enjoyable!

I CBA taking any, so if you want photos, search photobucket, that's what I'm going to do!

I stayed at the campsite in the lively area as well.

Got there on the Thursday night and left Sunday evening. It was very well organised, good atmosphere as well on a night.

Watched from Beckett's, all three races were fantastic, good view from there as well, you can see loads of the track.

On the parade lap after the finish line someone pulled a wheelie in Moto3 and knocked someone else off, couldn't quite figure out what happened though!

Lorenzo ALMOST did it!

Don't know.
He has enthusiasm about the sport but can't think on his feet like Doyle. He comes across as awkward.

21 eh. Marquez has only just stopped growing and now he's going to get physically stronger.

We're doomed. Smile

Probably one of the best GP articles you'll read all season, about those chasing rides in Moto2/3:

Puts it into perspective really!

Looks like the makings of a good race again.
The Yams have great race pace and it's supposed to be a little cooler so even better for #99 and #46.

#45 is still defying physics.

Excellent photo, thanks.

That's been on the cards for a while!
Marquez has been on the ragged edge of the limit, to achieve what he has, I'm surprised he's stayed upright for as long as he has.
Can't take anything away from him, but there was a large guffaw, in the Suntan household, when his arse hit the deck. Laughing
In reality he didn't need to win, he should have settled for second it would have been good enough.

Rossi is still the guy everyone wants to win, and he did, hoorah!
Fairytale weekend for him, really, hometown hero wins at home!

It's interesting that in the popularity stakes Vale is still a country mile ahead of anyone. Even at Silverstone the airhorns were out for Rossi every time he went past, in contrast barely a murmur for Marquez!
As good as Marquez, obviously, is I doubt he'll ever have the following The Doctor does!
