Went to a place in Finedon to ask about booking mod 1 test and saw one of these beauties in the yard.
Well looked after, looked like it had just come out of the show room. One of my dream bikes but still at least 2 years to wait yet.

I love these, especially in that colour scheme. Shame about the tacky seat though ____________________ Current bike: Honda CBR 1100xx |

I've got to wait at least 2 years be for I can even contemplate getting one of these.
What happened to the good old days when you could pass your test by riding round the block then go get whatever bike you fancied and/or could afford?
oh that's right the government had to put in place all this crap and make it more difficult to obtain a motorcycle licence and ride whatever bike you want to. Yet you pass your car test at 17 and you can go by a Porsche or something if you can afford the insurance.

Lovely looking machine. Not the seat tho.
Had a shot of mates one a few years ago. Liked it.
Bought a ZRX1100 shortly thereafter and hated it. ____________________ Yes I'm a pig....And yes... The working public do pay my wages. Tho I contribute to your benefits you lazy c##t. You do not pay my wages. So go fcuk yourself. |

True, in terms of condition though, immaculate.
Although In my opinion the standard exhaust doesn't look as good. |

When I see these it makes me wonder why I chose a thundercat over it. They were roughly the same price on insurance aswell.. Then I remembered I like to stay a tad warmer and drier on my commute. ____________________ current; beemer 5 series! |

Looking at it, it reduces a fair bit of the exposed area of the radiator surly resulting in less air hitting the radiator? |
Might make a fractional difference to the amount of heat dumped, but not enough to cause any issue.
Think about dirt bikes and mud, they manage to stay alive.
Besides that's only an oil cooler anyway.
Also, Alex A, you missed that utterly pointless screen off your list. But other than what's been pointed out its a very nice example.
Finally, a pointless piece of info that i found interesting:
According to Bikez specs: it has a Power to weight ratio of 0.46.
My KTM with 3 less cylinders, more than half the cc's and nearly half the weight is 0.44! So a duke 690 would be comparable performance, with better MpG, better handling, better usability, less insurance, less tax, less chrome etc...
With this logic a 'muscle bike' is kind of pointless. ____________________ Chase my Witch up, Catch my Snitch up.

They rev to about 10 or something, but you need to be changing at about 6k, as these bikes are all about torque, and it trails off around there.
Handling is as you would expect, a bit spongy but very involving. They are a heavy bike so you need to muscle it about.
They sound awesome. Even sitting at the traffic lights, there is a smoooooth bassy rumble under your pants.
I have always wanted one but they hold their value well, and I just can't afford one!
Still 3k for an 01-02
Tldr. Awesome. Buy. |
So to summarise, they have cheap suspension, overweight, and slow. However they sound good and make your pants rumble (I think you can get tablets for that?).
