You may already now this and have done it but worth mentioning. Undo all nuts and bolts to release and pressure which is sure to have been caused by the crash.
Most important being all the front end ie: all the yoke bolts, top yoke bolt and the bearing nuts, clipons.
Swingarm mount, wheel spindles, shock mounts, engine mounts, subframe ect ect etc.
Basically if it can be undone, undo it.

Wheres your source of info that's telling you the brakelight bullshit?
The MOT testers manual wrote: | This inspection applies to: all machines, except those which have neither front nor rear position lamps, or has such lamps permanently disconnected, painted over or masked that are · only used during daylight hours, and · not used at times of seriously reduced visibility If this situation occurs the machine presenter should be issued with a VT32 (advisory notice) recording the above. |
You do not have to have a brake light for MOT purposes. Here's the official link if you still don't belive me https://www.motinfo.gov.uk/htdocs/m1s01000301.htm
You'd do well to actually read the official MOT testers manual, rather than some gibberish posted up by someone back in the days when a VT32 advisory notice was still about.
My understanding is that all lights have to be E-marked, so theoreticly you could pass with a brakelight, but your LED strip is a failiure as it's not actually approved for road use. You also have to have a functioning front and rear brake light switch otherwise it'll fail.
So, when you get pulled by the old bill for riding around on a bike that's screaming pull me, you get all smart and prove that it's legal then they're left sitting wondering what to fuck you over for....well thats a lovely illegal taillight there sir!
Why give them an excuse to dish out a bollocking? Sounds like potato if you ask me. ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.

You don't "require" E marks, but I'm sure some 5-0 would get picky if they were really really trying to do you for it.
Note my "Iron Cross" rear light wasn't marked, nor is the KTM |

Daytime MOT's vary a lot between testers. There's nothing which says having a brake light means you'd fail the MOT.
I've had two daytime only MOT's which were from different MOT places and both bikes had brake lights. |

Which part of the MOT test manual says anything about having a stop light being a reason for failing the MOT?
"If a stop lamp is fitted, it must meet the requirements of this inspection" |
