Nope, I put spacers in and thicker oil and they don't feel bad but still too soft.

To be fair the best way for me to go quicker is to lose some weight, but I'll never be featherlight because I'm 6,1" tho.

Best go take some measurements. I'd rather not change the yokes too.

If you said you were in the 90+kg class, then I'd say you've got a fair way to go before worrying about 'featherweight' Smile.
I'm 5'11.6" according to the doctor's scales, have 'big bones' (and least a big chest) and when I got down to 11st6lb still had a bit of pudge on me Smile.

Oh and well done on the results Thumbs Up.

I am a bit fat at the moment at around 82/3kg plus gear. My leathers weigh about 5kgs!

I aim to get down to 75ish, working on that now.

At the end of the day I only do it for a laugh so not overly bothered.

I am now the owner of that pit bike Very Happy agreed £800 with him and either meeting his mate at the NMRRC round on Sunday or driving up to Yorkshire to pick it up at the weekend.

Can't wait to get cracking on it! Are there any test days at the tracks your way soon? First race meeting for me should be the NMRRC one 11th May, fits in nicely between the Thundersport rounds at Snetterton and Cadwell.

Angmering and Matchams will have loads of availability I expect mate, just phone them up and check.

Ordered my replacement tyres in the correct compound this time. Fitted me Z40 cam yesterday too, with the new springs. Can't really afford forks yet but I'll see what happens later on in the year.

When are you next out? Remembered I should have a C90 exhaust in my shed from our failed build for the endurance race. Thumbs Up

Think I'll be out when I'm next racing which is 13th April?

I want to get a practice in before then if I can because I need to sort gearing, but I'm not about the weekend before so that might not happen.

You'll need another downpipe for the can.

Thumbs Up

I'm racing on the R6 at Donington that weekend so that's a no go. I was looking at doing 11th May with NMRRC but I have two race meetings and my van MOT due that month so need to see how much commission I get from this month first Laughing

What down pipe do I need?

Just a standard front pipe mate, they're about a tenner on ebay.

So I just bought forks Laughing I'm now very poor. Hope they're worth the (considerable!) cost, I know the rear shock was an improvement.

Yeah. You can get Marzocchi's or whatever, I'm not allowed them and they're stupid money.

SP forks are ting tong, adjustable and £160 ish.

I got Fastace AS-01's which were a bit more than that, but already come with the twin pot brake that fits. (Different mounts on the adjustable ones)

I'm not changing yokes if I can help it.

I want my bits! Bounce!

Good lad Thumbs Up Very Happy

Picked up my bike last night from Yorkshire after a shite track day full of problems with the R6 at Donington. Suspension feels awesome although the set up is well off atm with the rebound on the front being too fast and the rear too slow so I'll have a play before my first time out. Brembo MC feels awesome and the exhaust sounds sooo good, can't wait to ride it!

Ah brembo-ness would have to go too if you wanted in at Matchams (to race that is) but nice one. My forks are being delivered today apparently. Bounce!

This one is up for sale for £500 incl transponder which seems like a pretty good deal, it's on the matchams fb page. It's got a decent rear shock too and what looks like sp forks.

Garth, those tyres, are they just off road use or can they be used on the roads?

My idea is to have a road reg'd one so I can get it tested Laughing

I think I've convinced myself NOT to pre-order a Z2.
Not that I had the money in the first place, but if I keep doing a good bit of overtime and get some stuff sold and it doesn't sell in the next couple of weeks... Thinking.

I don't know if they're road legal or not but they do other compounds in the same tread pattern - You'd never get caught. They're shit in the wet though. Properly shit in the wet.

Send him a message I'm sure he'd hold onto it for you. The transponder would cost you £100 on it's own. I've just spent half the total cost of that bike on a set of forks FFS Laughing

Already got a couple of transponders (both 260s I think) sitting around somewhere, but yes, can't hurt to have another Smile.

Will have a look-see at the ad.

How far norf are you? Some of the NMRRC are pretty Northern. Although, coming from south of the M4, what I consider to be Northern (anything north of Oxford) is probably not the same as you would.

Yep. The only difference is yours will still work at 100mph.

They do, NMRRC. Well midlands anyway. That's north.

Best make sure you find them and keep them on charge periodically.
