To be honest I get the impression this is just a troll's second account or something. Probably JiveBunny; we haven't heard from him in a while.

I don't get it. I ride a 1000cc shiny new mean machine. So what, there are people on here who are ten times the rider I am. There are folks here who could get a 500 round Cadwell faster than I could get my 1000 around it. It ain't what you ride, it's how you ride it.

Anyhoo - I had a rummage round, looking for fucks to give about your opinion, but it turns out I gave my last one to your mum the other night. It ain't what you ride, etc...

Incidentally, have you ever owned a bike?

I described the mooncup device to a female friend the other day after she was bitching about the price of tampons and how they should be free on the NHS because "we can't help it".

Sick

Was pretty much her response.

"Wahh other people should take care of me"

Lacking independence and the ability to take care of oneself is one of the most irritating things possible to me.

I can't help having to piss several times a day but do the government pay for me to have a toilet with a nice wooden seat? Noooo they do not! It's an outrage!

Fucking right, these people never seem to see there is always a price to such things. Someone, somewhere is picking up the tab.

In contrast however, I think free birth control is a good thing. In a perfect world people would be responsible and take care of things themselves. However the world isn't perfect and seeing as society will be paying one way or the other, I'd much rather society paid the minor price of free contraceptives rather than the much larger price of raising the spawn of kid-shitters.

It never ceases to amaze me how immature people can be online, as if hiding behind a keyboard gives you the right to regress to being 5 years old and taking your ball away if you are losing Rolling Eyes

I get into confrontations a lot on nights out because in real life I talk EXACTLY like I do here on BCF. You may feel a little better knowing this Thumbs Up.

For argument's sake (I actually agree with you) I could use the toilet argument for that too - saying that if the government didn't pay for toilets-for-all/Obamacare/SOCIALISM/whatever you want to call it, sewage would be all over the streets (a la libertarianism Laughing). Therefore the minor cost of toilets-for-all is worth it if it stops us having a massive regular sewage clean up bill. Thankfully the plebs buy their own toilets Very Happy

After doing a bit of skim Mooncup research, I asked Mrs Raffles if she was familiar with the product. She said that she wasn't and asked me how I knew of their existence....Well, I said, I heard about them on a bikers' forum....

It just depends where you personally draw the line. Nothing to say in the libertarian world the the people wouldn't voluntarily form an association to construct and maintain the sewer systems and shoot any public defecator with their AR Wink

I'm generally a free-marketist, but I accept in some situations free-market is actually less efficient than alternative systems. For instance there is no point having 10 national grids all operated by different power companies, or each house having 5 sets of water mains depending on what supplier you have.

The problem with libertarian living is that it relies on idealistic people who are genuinely honest, good people. Even if, and it's a big if, you could get all those people together and they make their community, what is to stop future generations being little shits and bringing it all down. Feelsbadman
