Just bought some of that crack spread to try. It's fucking great.

Nestle (and many others) have made the same stuff for years. I lived in South America where it was called arequipe or dulce de leche.

Last name "sweet of milk" is a good one because basically that is what it is - condensed milk. If you take a tin of ordinary condensed milk, put it in a pan of water and boil it gently for 5 hours or so - it caramelises inside the tin. Quicker in a pressure cooker of course
