Disgusting, ugly custom paint jobs.

Hey BCF. So I mentioned to a friend a few days ago that I am getting replacement fairings for my 7R and I can't decide on a colour scheme for them. Fast forward to today she sends me this:

Which got me thinking, I have never seen a custom paint job on a motorcycle that has made me think anything apart from "I would pay somebody to ride that off a cliff".

So is it just me? Post some pictures of bikes ruined by custom paint jobs... or see if you can find one that is tastefully done and improves the looks of the bike compared to standard. (Matt black doesn't count ofc )

Pretty much anything 'airbrushed' gets my vote. It's expensive, time consuming and ugly.

Not a paint job per se but I was getting my bike serviced and saw this really gashed out supermoto propped up against the wall of the mechanic's shop. The hand guards in particular caught my eye.

And yes, those are Union Jacks on the mirrors. The rest of the bike was done up in Rising Sun designs, so I guess the intended effect was to be an Anglo-Japanese gourmet fusion with a touch of French panache.
