Well...a quick offer for my bike against someone else's and ended up with this Mr. Green

It's an SV650 with a Daytona 675 fairing, solo seat with foam, seems to have after market suspension on the rear and various other nice mods. Should make a nice first track bike and let me get me used to track riding!

Subframe looks bent. Is that an ex G bike? They handle amazingly well when sorted.

Purely for fun currently, see how it goes and that.

Shifty Subframe likely is bent. Yeah, its G's old one with some nice suspension and that, feels alright!

Yeah, not "bent" exactly, just enjoyed a little bounce Laughing

So... its nearly ready for the MOT. Waiting on my simple button to make a horn, thereby giving it everything needed for the basic no lights fitted MOT.

May have stolen the speedo from the KTM for the purpose of the MOT until I can be bothered to buy another one/bicycle speedo for £3 on eGay.

Horn taken from a Moto Roma 125, plate from eBay, plate bracket from Iain... total cost to get everything... £9 Laughing

Will update with outcome of MOT, likely to be Saturday in all honesty, far too busy this week. Also need to work out a decent way of removing water from the catch area at the bottom, assume that is what its for. I suppose I shouldn't leave this in the rain, maybe squish this in the garage too Laughing

Dont worry about the water. Least you know it holds fluid for when it drops its guts on track and you ruin everyones day! Laughing

Ideal machine for track work.

Laughing Didn't think of it that way. Assume it is for oil catching purposes should something eat itself.

To be honest, I have always fancied doing it, but never really got round to it on a decent (lol?) bike. Used a GS500 once, never again. Think I'll book the track day thats being held on my birthday, Brands GP I think... so I'll give it a proper go then, so long as they allow this death machine on track, has a piece of hose pipe as a rear brake fluid holder, no reservoir here Laughing I'll add one ASAP regardless, I fear for my safety.

Might even grab a photo from under the seat unit, people will be lining up with their pitch forks, expert engineering I'd say Laughing

If all else fails, the 675 in pic one will get taken round instead... sounds like https://lh4.ggpht.com/_CqtZ6YfaifQ/SoR2A5PYwwI/AAAAAAAACWA/I6zQNInWIwE/fap.gif

Would it not be easier to just stuff a cloth down there to absorb it all?

Or better still, just do a wheelie.

Cool !!
It was in 1999 when Suzuki first introduced SV650 and then with the passage of time the Japanese manufacturer keep on improving its performance and quality of parts. I personally used 2003 model of Sv650 and I really liked it.

No, they just changed the shape of the frame and made it less comfortable. Dynamically there is very little difference between the curvy and pointy SV's and the quality of the finish is still low on both.

Question:
Why do the crash bungs come out at different lengths?
One side seems level with the fairing (pic 1) and the other comes out by like 2-3 inches (pic 2).
Or is it just the camera angle?
