* Please note I have very little knowledge of what I'm talking about.

We've got loads of users and loads of people in this community that race and do loads of other related things. Why dont we have a race team?

If every BCF user donated £1 I reckon we'd just about have enough for a season at BSB Superstock team, maybe, possibly not. I know a few guys that have raced at that level and all they're missing is the sponsorship. I've been told about £100k per season.

There's a few members on here that have a few quid, plus there's 90,000 of us apparently and I'm pretty sure theres some decent riders and mechanics out there, surely we could bodge something together? I go to a lot of BSB meetings and I'm dying to see BCF (or nobcat) on the side of a bike.

Why not?

It's a nice idea but there may be 90,000 registered members but there is only about 50 active posters in this sub forum so that cuts down our budget quite a bit.
We could probably all club together and by one tyre Laughing

I'd be prepared to invest in the Loctite. But not spring for all of it. It'd be interesting to see though.

I'd be willing to pay for the zip ties, up front.

Been there, done that.

There are plenty of forum members racing currently, but they don't come on begging for the forum to bankroll their hobby.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

We've found that people don't like parting with their cash. They do however like helping out and meeting/having a good giggle at the races. Specially when you provide a good atmosphere for people.

Once established, people do start to help out with cash - but generally for repairs etc, not up front. Shoestring racing is difficult.

BCF is also made up of a ton of bikers. Bikers don't necessarily understand racing and what's involved. Not by a long shot.

BCF Racing provided a good atmosphere whilst Team Wasted provided a different type of atmosphere.

Pit bitching is hard work, don't under estimate how busy you could be at race weekends. https://cdn.bikechatforums.com/files/p1010017.jpg

Some times the hard work of the pit bitches paid off and the rider got a pot. https://cdn.bikechatforums.com/files/p1010012_443.jpg

When the racing finishes for the day, you've got to find productive things to do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wz-V2y0RxgQ

Much fun was had. Mr. Green

The only suitable riders I can think of are Alpha and Smiler.
