So far so good 100 MPG will it fall apart??? that is the question. The made in India tag is a bit scary. All the jap small cc bikes seem to be built on the cheap now so it is a risk worth taking.
Cruising at 50 mph = 6.6k revs.
Anything over 70 mph is a trash. Great for city work.

Well, I can see style, but I can't see the money/speed value. Confused

I only commute on 30-40 mph roads but do enjoy it. Criteria was
1: Looks
2: Quicker than 125
3: 100 mpg
I thought £3400 with 400 miles on the clock was o.k
Has a £1000 of bolt on goodies as its ex demo.
I have had bigger quicker bikes but for city commuting this one seems great. I don't do big mileage ..15 miles a day.

Surely at those speeds, a 125 is fine. Not worth paying any additional cost over a £500 jap commuter.

I do not do scooters or normal looking commuter bikes. He are some of my past commuters.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

How does the Duke compare to the Ninja? Those bikes are the two most within my reach in the near future..

The Kawa is a 08 KL250 super sherpa Canadian import. Never sold over here unless you go way back I think. Cracking little bike.

Between the ninja 250 and duke 200 I would take the Duke for fun factor and sitting up riding style.
The ninja is ok but gutless at low revs. It copes with 70 mph+ much better than the duke. The new 300 would be better I guess.
The duke is much better at low speeds and really light.
I got burnt off at some lights by a 90's 3.0L estate car on my 250 ninja and sold it lol.
I like the more off road/ super moto quick off the lights to 40 mph more than the wind it up to higher speeds of the ninja.
The 390 duke would make a cracking lightweight street bike.
The 200 is great for city/ back roads. The fuel economy is unreal.
250 ninja is better build quality and I guess more reliability.

Your 200cc Duke, looks quite nice IMO. What power is it 20bhp? Nice quality pipe on it too!

But I'm loving the Sherpa though, It's got a bit of a trials'ey look to it, and I can see the KMX headlamp shroud. Is it the same engine as the KLX250?

duke 200 is 25 hp
shepa has aircooled engine no idea if it is klx250 thought that was liquid cooled. I read somewhere that sherpa had 26hp.

The xr400 which i supermoto'd was the only one I had trouble with at my old house. Scallys made numerous attempts at getting into my garage.
I drilled out the concrete floor and dropped x2 12mm bolts through the lip off the garage so it couldnt be forced open.
They then went over 2 fences to get to the back of garage which is totally inaccessible to any road or path.
They spent hours chipping mortar out of the bricks.
I heard this and chased them off. Happy days

That's actually quite impressive for a modern 200cc 4t; especially so when you consider you are getting 100mpg from it too.

Looks great fun for town riding, would be tempted myself if it wasn't for the "made in India" part.

Makes me even more depressed that my YBR does 110 to the gallon but only produces 9 Thumbs Down

That thing is just begging for some spoked rims.

Also, wouldn't the lack of rear fender leave you with a nice little brown streak on your back?

It was a feeler to see if the 200 suffers from the same build quality issues that the 125 is seemingly plagued with. I was met with a stony silence. Sad
