I got a phone call off an old friend saying he knows a women getting rid of an old Suzuki around the corner from me, so i had a walk around assuming the worst... However, I got there to find this low mileage GSX750.
New petrol, some electricity in the battery and she fired up. The best part was when the previous owner said if its going to a new home then she doesn't want anything for it Smile

I knew from the moment I got it in my garden I was going to cafe racer it so i went on to buy the fairing and rear seat cowl and off to work I went.

It went from this:

These is a quick before and after preview, it is still in progress, write up to follow! Twisted Evil

Looks like nice and clean build you've got going Thumbs Up

Always prefer when somebody gets hold of a bike makes a statement about modifying it then follow it up with 'so I did' and a picture of the work done or nearly done. If you truly want to modify a bike you get cracking and don't waste time asking for opinions & saying I'm going to do this, that and this....then get lazy or butthurt at any negative comments before throwing it under a cover as an unfinished wreck to be put up for sale on ebay at a stupid price months down the line.

Not my bike but a very close friend of mines...

He's put some polished windowed engine case covers on, polished rocker cover, red HT leads, braided lines & fixed a new can on. He's also had it on a dyno and is messing around with the jetting again to get it as perfect as possible. He's also sprayed part of the engine and replaced certain bolts in red.

He stripped the bike down a few months ago and is having it all powder coated ready for summer and then I think he's going with British racing green for the plastics and tank with a pin stripe. He hasn't decided what colour the frame, swing arm and wheels or pin stripe will be yet.

He's not doing bad considering he was only 19 when he started this project and is only 20 now and he's done most the work himself.

The most recent photo I can find...

Nice Mr. Green

Where did he get that front cowl and rear sub frame?

Any more pics?

Rear subframe he made out of the standard rear subframe, I remember him cutting it down, unsure if he bent it round or welded another bit of metal to complete the subframe. The bracket holding the nose cone he made himself.

I'll ask about the rear and front cowl, as I'm unsure where he bought it.

Wow, he's gone a long way, hasn't he.. It certainly looks the part. Not sure about the new can though, doesn't that scrape on the bends?
