So I bought this about 3 years ago as a non runner, suspected CDI and sat for 5 years on someone's back yard. I paid £125 for it and got it running in the blokes garage at the cost of a through crimp on the pickup coil wire and put it in the back of my van under its own power.

30 months later, in February this year I've passed my test and been slowly chipping away at it over the last few months in between working in India. Finally get it MOTed and on the road in February but time is short with having a year old sprig and it hardly gets used before being laid up with a dead battery in June when my concentration shifts onto jetskis.

So I'm looking at new bikes because mines shit, then I realise with less than 1000 miles done on the road and with it being worth the thin end of fuck all, I might as well drop this one instead of something tidy. I'm going to get the bits finished that I've already started and get some miles done before I upgrade, it won't be much of a looker but tie wrapped headlight brackets are a bit rough.

New battery tonight and ready for work tomorrow! New bars on the way to get rid of the gay renthals...

Rentals gone, CG headlight might go on instead of standard 7". Wiring and shortened cables next then out for some fist!

What yokes did you use for those upside downies?. I am responably sure that I can feel the stock forks on mine flex under heavy breaking. the brembo upgrade gives awesome power but that bending feeling isn't so great

The forks and bottom yoke are from a GSXR 750 WP, 1993 I think, top yoke is TL1000R but only because that's what was available when I needed one. Stem was pressed out of the bottom yoke and replaced with the original from the Bandit yoke but they both looked the same when side by side so not necessary, it's a straight swap.

They are long though, there are better options but these were only £90 with the brakes and wheel.

No progress made, although I've decided to stick with the 7" light for now, the CG one is a bit too small I think.
