Incoming!

Building a bit of a special, so far it's a cagiva mito frame, RSV mille front end (resprung etc of course), RS250 rear wheel, Honda RS250 GP bike Wilbers shock. There are a few 350YPVS hybrids knocking about but I'm going a step further and stroking and big boring it, +7mm stroke and 68mm bore all developed in the states on banshee quads. This takes it to 443. I've not started the engine building yet but the bike is built as a roller, motor is the next job. I'm hoping for circa 95hp & 120kg. The mito frame is pretty good but the suspension was shit hence the re engineering on the front and rear ends etc.

Some pics I've taken so far, it has taken a lot of engineering to make the rear wheel fit the swinger and the front end fit, motor in etc. Just had the pipes made which is a big milestone.

This is where it's up to now...

If people are interested I'll keep it updated. Original thread is here.. You can see how it spiralled out of control a bit Wink

This +10! Thumbs Up

Should be something very special indeed, and I'm looking forward to hearing/seeing the big hybrid RD motor build too!

The pipe's are a work of art, and the diameter of the belly section says that the motor is going to be quite a few cc's!

I've always liked the looks of the Mito, and would one day like to find a tatty cheap one, to try fitting a GasGas TXT300 trials engine for something different too! Laughing

Some engine bits Smile

The motor has the potential to make well over 110hp, but I'm not willing to trade off all the mid range and longevity that comes with that. I'll be brutal as it is!!

Looks awesome, will look forward to seeing it develop. 95hp is not too shabby at all, that's about the same as my FZ6, but it's going to weigh less with you on it (unless fatty) than mine does alone!

Incredible build mate! I never even knew you could get all that engine stuff done - interchangeable domes for the heads ffs! Shocked

A man of many talents (and contacts Laughing ) you obviously are. Thanks for sharing this here, including the original build thread; a great read so far. Looking forward to reading more, and especially the finished project Thumbs Up

Mono block 68mm barrels, billet inlet manifold and 38mm mikunis

The barrels have been cast to match the long stroke, no power valves, totally different porting to a YPVS.

Did some messing last night, figured out the plumbing. Not much room at all but managed to get an inline rad cap in and keep it all relatively simple. Then just used a HRC catch tank, not a fan of loads of cable ties but seemed the obvious way to fix it.. Need to get a round rad cap, as you can see it's a bit tight

Also threw the heel guards on and HRC brake hose reservoir thingy as I don't really have anywhere to mount a normal reservoir. Always thought these were a bit tacky on normal road bikes but it's ideal for this.

Another thing I bought the other week is a genuine ally TZ250 subframe which fits my seat perfect... Doesn't fit the bike mind you - so that's next on the list. It's so light I thought the box was empty when it came!! The ballache of this next step is I really need to be there when it's modified as the positioning of the seat in relation to the pipes in particular will make or break the look of the bike.

Once that's done the cases and cylinder is going to mick abbey for some port work.

Been busy with new house etc but decided to get my shit together and crack on.

Productive day, tz250 subframe is almost fitted. Took some measurements and drawings to get stuff done over the week to finish it off. Then I can FINALLY pull the motor out for porting and build the fucker!!
