Ebay/customs rules

Hey, trying to buy a pair of forks from Ebay and I'm being denied due to some IATA dangerous goods act or some such nonsense, anyone had this or know how to avoid/bend this in any way?

They're coming from america.... or not as the case my be

I'm guessing that the issue will be with the oil in them.

IATA is all airline stuff, so get them shipped by sea I guess?

Whatever problems the sender is having with the IATA dangerous goods act can be completely avoided by not telling the truth when saying what's in the box.

Clean oil out of forks, leave fork top off. Job jobbed.

I was thinking along similar lines to the above. I'll mail him and see what happens. I've never had an american reply to a question before, he'll probably grass me up to Ebay

I'm guessing this is gonna affect petrol tanks too? sad days...
