The low ballers on eBay. Do they ever wonder why no one takes them up on their offers?

Guilty as charged.

It's basically a spray and pray approach. You'd be surprised how many people take the lowball to get the task off the to-do list.

Book for 10 quid BIN with best offer? 6 quid, why not. No? 8? Awesome, that's a pint tonight then. Laughing

Hmm, I sort of get that (although why the seller doesn't use best offer is beyond me).

But on a bike auction, £3k starting bid, will you take £2k? Errr, no.

I had an item advertised last week for £25, somebody stuck in an offer around £18 within an hour so I rejected. They messaged me having a right strop asking why I didn't want their money.
Sold it two days later for full asking price.

Sony Xperia Z5.

Had one since February. It developed a fault with the screen stopping responding. After it coming back from Sony 'repaired' it still had the issue.

Finally got the handset replaced, this one now reboots itself and hangs with the flashing red LED.

Even now, I've powered it on and it sits at the first 'Sony Xperia' Screen, doing nothing.

£460 phone, a brick.

Tried a software restore, tried everything on their forums that just keep saying 'contact your nearest support center'.

Time for a new brand me thinks.

Bought large coffee, was small coffee. Charitably I'd call it a large espresso.

Did come within spitting distance of the jitters though, so not all bad.

Went on the Tube in peak time. It was a bad idea. For 20 mins I had to put down the book to save space for my fellow comrades. Such sad.

Ouch Sad

Don't panic but get it checked by your dentist. It should have healed after a month.

Got an email this morning from amazon for a prime subscription and pair of £90 trainers I didn't order. The idiot ordered to my address so sent the seller a message with his name and address in.

He's no idea what he's just started Twisted Evil

What was the winning bid? It's only worth what someone offers, and I'm not above using socks to inform deluded sellers that they're delusional.

Vehicle grinding:

ZaFIREa needs to go in for its 2nd no-explosion recall. Now the engine management lights keeps coming on for an erratic connection to the coolant thermostat.

Meriva has just needed £400 of work to get through it MOT, then pffffft, tyre goes flat. One, no two screws and a nail. Shocked Plug-plug-plug, then pfffft. Oh, the valve has gone as well. Brick Wall

Racebike fork seal that was ostensibly replaced by Jim Allan Motorcycles in Falkirk a few months ago is leaking. "Sealmate" bodge hasn't sorted it.

I made a right BodyGuard of changing a tyre on the Nazi Tractor, scratched the wheel, and can't get the beads to seat.

But! The Enfield is oil tight today! Dance!

That sounds familiar, ours needs booking in as well.

On ours the coolant sensor went years ago, each service they reset the light but also try to sell us the 'fix' which is splicing into the loom and fitting a separate cable. £140. Needless to say, they can feck right off and just keep resetting the bloody light. Very Happy

I was thinking of a little more than spamming them with junk mail and pizza's.

Option a) deliver a nike box full of cat turds
b) send a letter to his parents
c) send an anonymous tip to the security services about 'Sadiq' Smile

Today's WGMG, my employer.

Last year we took over a company and made a big song and dance about keeping redundancies to a minimum.

Yes, the Underwriters were safe. The back end staff were royally fucked. Those that were kept did the dutiful thing and told us to get fucked and we're still reaping the 'rewards' of our cuntishness.

Today it was announced that we will be acquired. Again, "very few redundancies" with some BS excuse about our business differing and being a great 'synergy'.

It's already been made very clear that the execs are safe so that pretty much means again, the back end staff will get fucked hard.

Needless to say, I hate American companies, nasaly, whiney, circumcised, corporate cunts!

I'm on antibiotics for a chest infection. I'm also trying to quit smoking and feel a bit homicidal. And now the antibiotics have upset my digestive system. Had to take the night off. (Unpaid.) Hubby is doing some work from home and has been swearing at the PC for 20 mins. The kitten is murdering my ficus and my neighbours are playing bastard bagpipe music again.
I have woe. And my nose looks like a festive reindeer's. Crying or Very sad

Tyre valve out, ratchet strap round the circumference of the tyre and inflate.

Mathematical symbolism. Take a very simple system, and describe it with a set of Greek abbreviations. Because that makes it easier to understand than pseudo-code or an Excel formula, and paradoxically shows how smart you are. Rolling Eyes
