And it will be a challenge, correct me if I'm wrong but I think the last TT podium finish on an R1 was Hutchy in the 2008 Senior?

I'd put a bet on him to win the Supersport race though.

Should be a pretty safe bet, Michael has won Supersport TT's on both R6 and CBR600RR. I only read about Milwaukee providing Superbikes, does he have a Supersport package in place?

If he doesn't one imagines he'll run R6s under his MD racing banner again.

Michael Dunlop seems a wily, canny fella. He got on the RR at the right time, now the new R1 is out and you can't help but think Yamaha will have done the business.

Guy Martin on a bike that can win a TT, JM looks like he's been down the gym a bit and Michael on the new R1.

Can't wait Smile

Yeah, there's been a lot of hype about the new R1 but they're not exactly going to talk it down...

It certainly will be an interesting year, it's a shame Josh Brookes can't race as this would be his third year. Once I have a full licence I will have to visit, hopefully 2016.

If Martin can't win one on the BM, you wonder how he ever will. This should be his best chance ever, especially if the new Yam has any teething problems.

MD may be canny, but I wonder if he needs to calm down a bit before the worst happens - too aggressive?

It is a big ask to be right at the sharp end right from the get go on a new bike is it not.

Whilst he's waiting for the S1000RR let's watch Hutchy throw some shapes as he overtakes M Dunlop during this weeks practice.

Mr Dunlop not very happy with Hutchy. Laughing

His superstock bike.

They've been working on his Superbike on the dockside. Should make practice tonight. He has been seen smiling in the pitlane. Shocked

Mickey D got the required 2 laps on the BMW Superbike last night to qualify with a lap speed of 128.636, second fastest in the session behind Bruce Anstey at 129.394. Not bad for the first time on the bike straight out of the box. The postponement of the Superbike race until Sunday will give him another practice session on Saturday to test any adjustments.
Some good racing next week, Anstey, McGuinness, Hutchy and a few others turning out fast practice times of 129 and 130+ In earlier practice sessions.
Weather forecast for race week is dry with light and variable winds and getting warmer.
