Look at all that space between the downpipes.

You could fit at least 10 in there.

Nice bike, I don't say that a lot about quirky Beemer's, but yeah I think it's good looking and they handle better than they go which is a good thing in modern bikes.

My dad rode a few of these when was thinking of buying a Firestorm or TLS1000. He said the BMW had character, but wasn't quite as sporty as the other's and didn't have the Honda's engine oomph, let alone the Suzuki.

Is there much in the way of tuning stuff around for these Boxer's?

No-eye deer but I shan't be delving into that anyway. This is a daily driver. It's a shame that it'll look like it's been dragged through a ditch before the year's out, but such is the nature of my work environment - everything gets trashed on site.

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy good spot - PO tells me it has the sports (boxer cup?) rear suspension so the centre-stand doesn't quite lift the tyre off the road. I'll be checking that out shortly..

Ok the Bandit's gone and the Thundercat's gone but now I'm thinking I might have to get rid of this BMW.

I love loads about the bike. I love the big torquey engine, the really very good chassis which soaks up bumps in the road and takes corners at speed that I would never dream of on the Bandit. I love the way you can go from 50 to 90 and it doesn't feel like you're going any faster. I love the quirky looks and even the sound of the boxer engine but there's one thing that's annoying me a LOT and I wasn't expecting it. If things keep on this way I'm going to give serious thought to changing back to a Japanese bike.

Who can guess what it is?
