Hi All,

have been looking around for a 400 inline 4 for a while now, Currently waiting to do my mod 1.

Found this little bike for sale on the off chance of passing a small garage.

Managed to get it for £1250 so please tell me what you think

CBR 400rr NC29 Fireblade 18K miles 1990 (12 months MOT)

Have brought it home and cleaned it but still waiting to have a go :/

I was going to say steep price but the pictures give the impression it's in good condition which is rare for a 400 of that age. Have fun Thumbs Up

And if you don't fuck it, it can only rise in value

Dealership few miles down the road has one 1993 for £1,795.. so you got a deal in comparison.

Minus the filter on the pictures it looks to be in good condition.

Timed the purchase just right.. looks you wasn't affected by peak season prices.

In terms of not having the chance to run it around yet, could always put the rear on a paddock stand and run through the gears to see how it takes it.. spot any problems by ear, make sure it warms up and starts ok.

Be sure to update, i'm interested in hearing how owning one of the older sports bikes as the main bike goes.. guy nearby has a "Kawasaki zxr400" can never stop looking at the thing every time I walk past.. love the oldschool sports bike styling more than the modern ones.

It looks nice but, saying that, it looks like you've scanned in some photos taken on its date of first registration. Thumbs Up

Enjoy it and look after it and you won't lose any money when you're ready for a step up.

Yes I'm sure his neighbours will love that Very Happy

Could also be comical if it drops off the stand and goes flying though the garage door.

Needs that horrendous coloured screen removed and a black one fitted, then you have a nice looking CBR400 Thumbs Up
