First proper MotoGP race watch with the gf, looks like I picked a good one to get her into it!

Disappointed by Lowes' crash, he looked like he was going to dominate.

Either way, a great opening season.

Shame MotoGP isn't more popular, I couldn't find one BT Sports pub showing it. (It's better than that F1 bollocks).

best result I could wish for

wow those ducati's are fast, but the doctor saw he had to get enough distance on Dovi before the last corner and carried it through

classic Rossi, not a good start, from 10th at least and carved his way though the field, just like he has done many time's before, but still excellent to watch

Stoner has nothig to gain from a MotoGP return.

More chance of Guintoli stepping back up from WSBK IMO. Current WSBK champ, Honda contract, previous GP experience? Or it'll just be the test rider, maybe they'll dust off Itoh or Tamada?
(

depends how long its for I suppose, Guintoli may still feel he can defend his WSBK title this early in the season and might not want to end his season for a couple of 10th place finishes in GP and honda might not want to field a test rider for most of the season if it ends up being a longer term thing.
Still very little chance of Stoner coming back.

What a race! Even the GF wasn't completely bored. Awesome, awesome Rossi. Ducati on fire (not literally). Lorenzo needs to get himself another lid sponsor.

Just one thing to ask - what was wrong with Honda? They clearly had the pace with the highest top speeds but was their setup wrong? Although 350 kph is a nice top speed, Rossi's top speed was 341kph so he looked to sacrifice a bit of top end for more drive - or that's what it looked like to me.

Watched this last night on ITV4, Rossi was awesome, i didn't get chance to watch any of the practices but a good race to kick off the season.

Really didn't expect the Honda's to be that far back.

All Hondas struggled for rear grip.

Re: Guinters, he knows the Blade is going to get destroyed on any track with a real straight. He'd bite their arm off.
