All practice sessions (Tuesday & Thursday) and races (Thursday eve & Saturday) are being shown live online by the BBC, with highlights packages on BBC NI on Friday, Sunday and Monday evenings.

Anyway, does anyone know if the live streams mean that they'll be available live on TV via the red button? I think you used to be able to watch like that. Cheers.

As for William Dunlop - does he not wear a back protector?

I'm sure he does normally, probably just forgot to put it in! Nasty little spill though.

Yeah William had a big highside out of the first hairpin, then disappeared in the Supersport race.

I like Irwin, he seems a genuine, friendly guy. Not making the twin race must be a slap in the face after a kick in the balls.

Guy has been annoying everyone today by moaning about chicanes and saying it's not a proper road race. I like Guy and I see where he's coming from but he's on the same bike as Seeley and would likely be keeping quiet if he could keep up.

I'm hoping MD gets a good start and has a go at Seeley in the Superstock.

I noticed william falling behind heard commentators saying he must be sore, heard guys interview and agree with him one of the reasons I don't go to the nw but if he doesn't like it shouldn't be there. cracking supertwins race

^^^He's a nob. Razz

Pity that today's racing is marred by weather, red flags and a female spectator in a critical condition.

Commentators not bad at filling in but totally pants during the race...Guess the highlight programs will be polished up.

What was made to happen? The apology? I've been working all day but am in now to see the main race. I'd really like to see Hutchinson win.

Yes the apology could almost see merv pulling the strings, free speech apparently not allowed at the north west. Liked his fly dig about it only being a run out for the tt though Laughing

Well I think it's a great spectacle. There are few places where you can see +200bhp machines in 6th gear on full throttle with inches between them. Guess I love a good slipstream as much as fast sweepers.

Suspect that the machines dictated the chicanes.

I also liked the comment by Keith Amor 'It's not boring when you're winning'.

Slipstreaming is cool and it usually means close racing, I miss seeing GPs and WSB at Hockenheim for that reason. Monza and Salzburgring were also lots of fun to watch.

However, even Alastair Seeley last week said something like 'newcomers are quick once they nail the coast road, otherwise it's straights and chicanes'.

I'm booking my flights to the Ulster GP today, that'll be my first ever road race Very Happy

^^^Newcomers also quick at the TT...I'm thinking Jamie Hamilton and Josh Brookes and Horst Saiger but yes it isn't the track it used to be and it cannot return unless the bikes are slower. Neutral

Ulster is so much better than the nw, still slipstreaming there aswell would recommend going to dears leap and if you do let me know marshall at the top corner where the farmer runs a bar every year always great crowds lovely place to watch

Quick but not challenging for wins (at least not that I recall). Anyway, it's done and dusted for another year. The TT in a couple of weeks looks very open.

Thanks Robert, I'll be on the shuttle which I'm guessing will drop me near the paddock. Deers Leap looks like quite a walk but I'll see as much of the circuit as I can.

Dears leap is a bit far from the pits tbh you'll still get some great viewing from the flying kilo bikes going past 6 a breast at 200mph Shocked
