For various reasons fancied one of these for a while. Then wouldnt you know it one turns up for sale via word of mouth at a price not to be sniffed at :

Only had one ride out on it at the moment and coming from a history or IL4 litre bikes (where sports bikes are concerned) was not sure what to expect. put a grin on my face but boy that suspension is stiff!

Check if it's set properly. Some people fiddle with the suspension settings, having no idea of what they are doing. Idealy, just put it into factory settings, using the manual. Thumbs Up

Your probably right, i have'nt even checked the tyre pressures yet tbh. Its was great on a smooth road but introduce any kind of bumps etc.. and it was hard work.

Had to be yellow! I initially wanted a 999 but also wanted to scratch an itch to have a smaller capacity bike for a while. So when i got offered this it just felt the stars were aligned etc.. it has a full termi system and race ecu so consensus is its probably around 110 - 115, but that sound! its so loud i feel like an asbo waiting to happen.

Nice, erm, yellow bike. Get some ear plugs or the clutch basket will trash your hearing Laughing

Nice, red ones are faster though. As standard they come stiff as f. The standard showa suspension is pretty good and as easy to set up as any bike.
Does it have adjustable head angle and rear ride height like my 999?

OGR

i genuinely have no idea, i know the reach can be altered by moving the seat/tank unit back and forth but as for the rest i'm unsure. must have a look.

Dunno if they've changed much since my day, but Ducs used to come with three settings, stiff, stiff as fuck and "I wish I hadn't gone over that cat's eye, my spine just went through my Arai" Laughing

Lovely but for long-term ownership you'll need a fully loaded wallet !. (Like most Wop bikes).

Looks brilliant, how is the steering damper on it? I took one out for a test ride from a guy on Gumtree and the damper was so stiff I could barely turn the bars.

They're an incredibly smooth bike on the power, it's nothing like an il4 where it gets buzzy and vicious behind you, it's just a smooth wave blasting you forward. I'd love a 999, but they're hens teeth up here.
