We stayed in East Runton over the past week so I popped into the local bike museum for a gander.
Not a huge flashy place, more of a big shed crammed with all manner of machines in various states of repair.
The owner hovered around, only too glad to provide a wealth of info, but to my relief, not too much.

Yeah its not bad.
If you go, ask the bloke to fire up the diesel bike, its in the last pick, the one facing straight up the walkway towards the camera.

I asked if the horrendous knocking sound died down after a while.
He said no. I said keep it.

They also carry out media blasting and wheel building.

They do a good job in the end. I live an hour away from these guys. I gave them a pair of complete '71 H1 500 wheels for rebuild and when I picked them up and fitted them the offset was off by 5mm on the front.
Not impressed after fitting everything and all that time wasted and a 2 hour round trip to drop it back off again. So he rectified the issue and delivered it back a few days later.

If your near Salisbury go to Brickwood Wheel Builders they are really good, I gave them just the hubs once for a racing bantam and they got it spot on and no hassle.

Just depends where you live and how deep your pockets are.
