Headed out on Saturday for a blast on the bike, its been a while since i have not had to put my man size condom on to keep myself dry.

Ended up doing about 180miles and it was 180 good miles mixed A, B single track roads.

I see the peculiar plate fashion has reached even the far NW.
Round here you mostly get a bit of slate, tile or chunk of wood to eat off. Laughing

Its everywhere, since when did a round plate stop being "trendy"

Best road bike I've had, comparing to 600 cbr fy, zx10r and R1 it puts a smile on my face straight away. Its very torquey and will do about 140 at a push but i just cruise on straights and wait for the twistys. Its very twitchy as throttle is either on or off and it wants to be revved. What i like most is you thrash it everywhere you go and keep it in high revs instead of the R1 is a tank and you twist and go. The lack of fairing makes you pretty fecked at the end of the day but its worth it, you can get a fly screen which does help on boring motorways.

The best description i can give it is a pushbike with a engine its so light.

If i go on the R1 its a heavy tank with very smoothie throttle so when i go back on the KTM it feels extremely twitchy.

Pros

Fun bike wants to be thrashed
Torquey
Very very light compared to a lot of bikes ive owned
Front wants to come up a lot
Lack of fairing keeps you down at a fairly sensible speed this bike is all about the corners.
Light flick able and i do throw this about a lot more than my sportsbikes

Cons

Throttle very very twitchy
Std cans get extremely fecking hot
Lack of fairing does make a difference on long miles or boring roads
Upright position takes a bit of getting used to coming from a sportsbike
Dont buy it for the MPG as you will keep it in high revs and thrash it
