The pictures are straight off the camera unedited and not the greatest, fast moving action shots are not my thing really. I took about 250 on the day and these are a selection.

On Sunday I went along to the Extreme Performance Bike Weekend at Santa Pod. £10 to get in, took my boy along and he got in free, bargain.

Santa Pod is only about 20 minutes down the road from me. When I got up in the morning it was raining, but set to clear up, so we headed off anyway. They were still trying to dry the track when we got there so we watched some battered Subarus, Hondas and the like drifting round barrels for a while.

Still no action on the drag strip so off to see the stunt bikes, during which it rained again putting things back even further.

Wandered though the pit area and had a look at the bikes.

They got the jet engine powered blower out to dry the track and sprayed it with sticky traction compound.

Finally managed to watch some racing at 2.45 once it was all sorted.

By 3.15 it was raining again and that was it for the day. Shame because the quick bikes had just started running - under 7 seconds @ 200 mph.

Despite the weather, not a bad day out but would have been nicer to see more racing. I wanted to watch the 11.1s class in the Straightliners Series and see exactly how quick their Bandits were going compared to what we got out of ours on the RWYB day. Did spend some time chatting to the guys in the paddock though and got some tips on how to beat Carvel next time we go Wink

That looked AWESOME!!!!!

Definitely going to that....when warmer and dryer.

How scary skinny were some of those front tyres. Less frontal resistance, but doesn't do much in the steering department. But I guess with a million bhp the front is not used too much Smile

If it had been dry, and everything had run, it would have been an outstanding day with plenty to watch. Spent a bit of time sitting in the cafe eating chips and curry sauce instead Thumbs Up

Few more pics off my phone.

Thank's Thumbs Up

I think if I had taken a monopod for the camera the pics would have been just a little bit sharper. I was just standing up holding it and trying to track the bikes which resulted in a lot of images with just a front or rear wheel showing Very Happy

That looks sweet.

I was down there not too long ago for the BMW show, would love to take my bike up the strip a few times!
