|
|
Picked up a pair of minibikes in pretty bad shape off Paddy for very little. A monkey, and a 50 frame pitbike.

Stole the engine from the monkey, a Lifan 72cc with an E22 large valve head & fitted it to the Thump.

I then bodged it together to have a quick hoon round the field. Very odd gear pattern, N-1-2-3-4 all down. Pokey enough for many wheelies in 1st and 2nd but 3rd & 4th are tall enough to be civilised on the road.

Had a call from HMRC today to let me know the NOVA applications been put through, so will have my confirmation in 3-4 days. Then I'll be binning about half of the bike to make it roadworthy. The frame, engine, CDI, some of the wiring, the wheels, discs, forks and yokes will stay...everything else is fit for the bin. |

Now the build can start, all it needs is an MOT/insurance and I can get my plate/V5 |
