The newest addition to the fleet, and very much an impulse buy lol always been a fan of these since they were new and i was an impressionable teenager!

One appeared on ebay literally around the corner from me and I had to go do my nosey, and ended up purchasing it. Theres a few things I plan on changing over time, but for now, here she is...

I remember the year they were launched and were put up against the blade and not found wanting on the road or track either.

I think they were still making these when I passed my DAS, so I do feel old now, but still have the love for 90's and early millennium> bikes, they were all as good if not better than anyone ever needed on the road.

Modern stuff just seems crap and electronics aside how much progress has there been in 15-20years?

Not much from where I stand, but then at least bikes have not gone backwards as much as cars have.

Yes... Also the wheels are GOOOOOOOOLD!

Are they Dymags or something equally special, or are they OEM wheel sprayed gold?

You mean apart from the extra 50bhp they get out of the GSXR 750 nowadays? And the massive drop in weight, and the massive improvement in handling?

Same with cars. Shopping cars might have stayed vaguely the same, but performance cars have improved massively since the 1990s.

Cheers for the comments guys. She is a little rough around the edges but I'll gradually tidy things up.

Always prefer bikes from this era, maybe it's an age thing lol but prefer the curvier bodies on the older bikes.

Wheels are just OEM done gold. Previous owner was refurbing them and went gold as a change to the white

I kinda like the gold, they suit it... I'm not normally into gold wheels, but for some reason they work on a blue and white GSXR.

I had one 2 years ago but was forced to sell it to fund the new house repairs.

I still miss it and plan on having another.

Enjoy it, they are a very capable machine.

Very nice indeed. Hard to tell from the photos, but is that fake carbon stuck to the frame? If so, a) I hope it's not hiding anything, and b) get rid of it!

I think the fact that it's a kinda muted gold colour helps lol
