...here's the current stable. Looks like a scary addiction now that I see them, and also a worrying amount of brand loyalty, or maybe I'm just the two wheeled equivalent of the crazy cat lady... but hey ho, after owning dozens of bikes my tastes in two wheels have been whittled down to these.
I'm often tinkering away on them, so might post up here the little progress I make now and again. So then, in no particular order...
Grommet: Obtained as a part ex for my Z1000 last year, thought I'd just keep it for a summer and then sell on after I got bored. Trouble is, I haven't got bored with the pesky little blighter, even to the extent that I've added a few extras here and there:

https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y51/whers84/WP_20160505_19_10_30_Pro_zpsoxvvkibl.jpg
The CRF: I was really after the L model, as I wanted a bike I could just jump on and go exploring the local countryside. Guess the colour scheme was a bit of a seller. Was also meant to be a commuter replacement for the black Superfour, maybe it'll still turn out that way.
https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y51/whers84/WP_20160423_09_00_31_Pro_zpsglm7cgqg.jpg
Superfour No. 3: Bought as a winter hack last year for the sole purpose of being somewhat disposable, cheap, and something I didn't care too much about being bathed in salty grime. Might have accidentally thrown a bucket of soapy water over it once or twice; the camera does make it look reasonable though :/
https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y51/whers84/WP_20160502_15_43_41_Pro_zpsj5kulfkb.jpg
The NC29: Bought cheaply over winter - bit of boredom, bit of eBay fever, but also a bit of a hankering for a sportsbike again. Probably because I keep forgetting I already have an NC30 hiding somewhere. Has had a bit of TLC over winter, now ready for summer - once I fit a new shock, the current original item is a tad passed it.
https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y51/whers84/WP_20160501_10_25_05_Pro_zpsfo2s30jt.jpg
Superfour No. 2: Bought a couple of years back as a daily commuter. Was subsequently written off when I was rear ended (ahem) on the way to work. Bought back from the insurance company, got back on the road and accidentally added a few extras in the process.
https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y51/whers84/WP_20160227_16_32_29_Pro_zpsgliwe2cj.jpg
Superfour No. 1: I've had this one a few years now - bought as a cosmetically challenged example as a project bike as at the time, felt that I was getting too fussy with the NC30. Ended up being its useable sibling steed, ashamed to say it doesn't get the use it deserves.
https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y51/whers84/WP_20160228_17_02_25_Pro_zpsqtdyabci.jpg
The NC30: Forgotten for years after the bike went through two guises (anyone remember the chavvy Konica it once was?). After having sorted most of my other bikes, and after remembering I had the thing when a falling paint pot smashed its screen in the garage, the bike's receiving a bit of a belated attention: carb overhaul, new battery, clutch, fluids and tyres have all been done - does have an issue with running under load though (more faffing this weekend) - which is delaying its MOT test somewhat...

Craig, clean my bikes. Please.
I love the whole: "I bought this as a hack" *shinier than any of my bikes* "It's cosmetically challenged" *cosmetically better than ALL of the good bits of my bikes put together*. ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F
Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |

Cheers Mr Wolf
I suppose the truth of the matter is there's not enough days in the week to use all of them as much as I'd like, so half of them get restored and cleaned a bit and are then all nice and shiny for a sunny summer's day.
Although the black Superfour, CRF and MSX tend to get the most use these days. |

Good to be back Mr Ham Ah, the NC32.5... have been working on that bike quite a lot recently, trying to get it up and running after being ignored for so long. Slowly getting there....
That's a mighty collection
My fleet isn't permanent - I guess I get bored quite easily once I feel a project's run its course, so tend to chop and change my bikes every now and then. Little silly trying to keep on top of all the bikes at the moment, so umming and arring about which to part with. Dad's had his eyes on the white Superfour for quite a while now...
Well as Sunday and nice and sunny out, decided to give the CBR a proper run for a change.
Took a bit of tinkering to get the shock set up to how I like it, but got to a nice compromise between composure and comfort, although iI'd have to say it's not the plushest / most confidence inspiring of shocks: it's a little sketchy when the road surface is poor, but feels great on a smooth flowing A road - although still need to get to the edges of my Rosso 2s
A definite improvement over the tired shock that came off though. |

Lol, I know I've been a little greedy as of late....
Might be passing the white Superfour onto Dad. Although I'd have to check that he's sticking to its particular TLC requirement every now and then |
