This bike has been sold

1990 (or maybe 1991) CBR 600f

I bought this bike in good condition from another BCF member a few years ago and have proceeded to totally molest it.

I’ve put on a set of Chinese Repsol Honda fairings. They fit badly and have been bodged like crazy. Most of the original panels were sold on ebay but a few remain. From a distance (couple of miles) it looks really nice.

Due to the fairing being so bodge, it’s a pain getting them on and off. There are a few things that need attention;

There is a slight oil leak – I think this is coming from the CCT as I replaced it for an APE manual unit. I’d guess it needs tightening or a gasket.

There is very slight fuel leak. I had some issues with the fuel tap a while back and I’d guess it coming from there. It’s not enough to see any fuel, but you can smell it, especially in my garage. On it’s last run I tried to use as much of the fuel as possible.

The front indicators are loose (because the fairings don’t have the right mounting for them.)
The rear indicators are in different positions because I measured it once and cut twice when installing them. – I kinda feel this is ok as no one sees both sides at the same time..

There are some positives..!

One of the tyres are ok (I can’t remember which one)
There are newish headers on it. (about a year old)
The end can is carbon
I’ve fitted;
adjustable levers
Top box rack
Heated grips
Chain and sprockets are good, but need a clean and oil.
When I last had it serviced I had the carbs cleaned and balanced.

I’ve also bought some replacement mirrors for it (pattern parts) as the originals don’t look amazing.

I started it up a few weeks ago and it sounded ok, but I’d definitely want it serviced / MOT and tidied up before doing a top speed run on her. (which is around 150 Very Happy )

It needs an MOT
It’s currently on a SORN

I have some paper work, mots and I have the V5 in my name.

Will some give me £400 for it?
