SE Winnahs III - The Search For Silky

There were rumours of his return - cryptic messages, strange images taken in uncharted lands known only as "The North". Was Silky really to be found in the newly terrafmormed cosmopolitanised world of Brighton?

We set out to find the answers.

Advance party (Wots, Doovy and myself) met at the Ace to take on board supplies of bacon.

Collected Carvel, who was surprisingly out of bed, and on to Rykas to meet up with Waffles and Paddy. No Silky, but we did receive a communication containing an address and a promise of chocolate biscuits.

We planned a route from Rykas down to Brighton taking in Devils Dyke. Rode through a bit of rain but it cleared and the sun came out showing off the great views.

Abused the reserved parking spaces in the local golf club where Wots found his perfect spot.

Doovy managed to keep up with the "proper" bikes on his 600 sport tourer (and spent most of the day complaining about how uncomfortable it was).

Descended on Chez Silky where coffee and biscuits were provided. He is indeed alive and well but currently in the process of buying a soft old man's bike suitable for Hipster Brighton a lovely Triumph Tiger Sport, so therefore without a ride.

No problem, we stuck him on the back of Doovy's bike and hit the roads into Brighton, slowly because it was Sunday, and sunny so the world had descended on the beach.

Parked the bikes, got fish & chips, chilled on the beach for a bit.

Admired Brighton's fantastic new tourist attraction which consists of a rather c*ck ring-esque observation platform slowly stroking it's way up and down a phallic tower. Very fitting.

A great day. One of the best ride outs we have done in a long time and good to meet up with new faces and a few people that I haven't seen in ages. Gets the thumbs up from me

It wasn't so much that it was uncomfortable, it was that I was already achy and it wasn't helping the situation Also the longest ride I've done on a sports bike for a year

Was happy to be back on the Fazer today

Good day out though, did have a few moments of AHHHHH with the rain but cleared after 20 mins so not too bad. Nice to see Paddy again too!

Lost you on the M25 filtering on the way back Matt - I was dying to get home

A good day out, and lovely to have Silky wrapping his legs around me as my pillion-bitch.

I had a lovely day, thanks to Silky and his (better) half for the beverages and Jaffa cakes! I am hilariously sunburnt today though so thank goodness for full coverage foundation otherwise I would be full on tomato.

I'm glad we all got to experience the mastabatory tourist attraction slowly doing its thang!
