How on earth are you spending £1800 on repairs?
Are you getting somebody else to do it?
My CBR600FX was involved in a big crash. In the end it cost about £450 to fix it up completely. It had a wrecked front end.
I totted up the price to fix the CBR600F4i and that only went up to £800 with a fairing from China.
Essentially fix it up yourself for the experience. Granted I like to build things. At the end of it you'll learn a lot and also be able to fix things from the experience in the future. Hell you've already got the parts.
It's just bits of plastic and metal bolted together. The most painful bit will be downpipe replacement.
Take a hint from several of the old guys on here. They say dremmel off the nuts on the studs and or use nut splitters. Don't take the studs out as getting them out is a risky and frustrating process. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. If it's costing you that much to repair, buy a similar one for the same price and use your crashed one as spares for it ____________________ I want your clothes, your boots and your motorcycle.
