So I left my job to become a student in Australia ages ago.

I live near Newtown, Sydney... It's infected by hipster disease. Thankfully they're rich.

Student life makes me poor, so I'm going to make something for hipsters to froth over so I can exploit their bank accounts in the name of "custom".

Idiots.

Anyway, I picked this up for $800. Probably too much, but it'll do as a base.

https://s11.postimg.org/bmaylcpc3/14440607_10157473917915111_8371301061598034490_n.jpg

And I'm going to abuse it, stick my spare ducati parts on it, and off it goes.

We had to remove bits to make it light enough for the trailer, as it has a 400lb capacity, so if you're around Singleton Sundial, NSW, there's a recycling bin with half a CX500 in it.

Chucked the tank, seat, headlights, tail section, and it came home.

Thankfully it's a monoshock... I didn't know this one was a monoshock... being a monoshock saves me a lot of welding and grinding.

Step 1 is chop off the subframe and shove a ducati 1198S subframe I had, so it'll kinda look like this?

https://s12.postimg.org/3v562zur1/14459696_10157444455980517_883338650_n.jpg

And for a bit of extra "make it look like bike", spare monster tank.

https://s12.postimg.org/9kq011qb1/14469260_10157444455855517_1637580292_n.jpg

I hate it. It shouldn't exist. I might burn it.

I'm also not going to use that fuel tank, and bolt two 4.5kg fire extinguishers on instead.

Sachs madass headlight.

Then sell it to an idiot.

Watch this space if you hate bikes or hipsters

Which is very wrong because hipster bikes don't have mudguards.

More hipster faggotry. Trying out something with the engine. It practically has its own curled moustache.

Fuck off bike. You are disgraceful

Strip the paint off the tank and let it rust.

Rotate and flip the handlebars 180 degrees.

My fuel tank is currently 200km away in a bin. It had been left to rust and then some.

As for the bars. Pro taper fat bars and speedo from my 450 exc parts hoard

Just plodding on with painting it. It takes time...

Carbs cleaned, valves adjusted, bla bla mustache twizzled, jeans tightened, reality checked, chain adjusted...

I'm working from front to back... Ignore the overspray on the back.

Yeah. Upside down and flipped so they look like ace bars.

It seems we've attracted our first mustache twizzler.

I don't think you quite get the point of this project... "Try harder"? It's still a transalp.

I'm sorry I poo poo'd your bolt on eBay seat.

Add a storage compartment close to the engine where you can store your tin of moustache wax, so that it is gently warmed whilst you ride and is ready to be reapplied when you arrive at the café.

Needs moar sound system.

The more obscure the format, the better.

Vinyl is too mainstream. I vote reel-to-reel tape. Or go modern with minidisc.

Too mainstream. Appears in movies people have watched.

I like the idea of mini disc. When did you last see someone actually using a mini disc player? The hipster appeal is strong. Remember, I thought of it before it was cool!
