Weise Dolomite Jacket, Large, Absolutely Brand New

Hi,

I am not a biker. I won this in a raffle and have no use for it. Still has the tags on it. Looks like a good piece of kit and they seem to sell for around £140.00.

Looking to get £100.00 for it but may accept offers below that. Needs to be collected as I think the size and weight of it will make postage costs prohibitive. I'm based nr Bradford-on-Avon in Wiltshire. Trying to avoid resorting to the bastards at ebay.

The Weise Dolomite Jacket is a high quality, warm and waterproof motorcycle jacket from the Weise textile jacket collection.

The Weise Dolomite Jacket has an outer construction comprised of a strong, durable and tough 500 Denier material which has been designed to work in all 4 seasons and to offer the rider impact and abrasion resistance. This has been further enhanced with the CE armour that is included in the jacket, fitted to protect the elbows, shoulders and back. The CE armour comes in the form of two pieces of abrasion and impact resistance padding that is fitted to each of the elbows, shoulders and across the back, overtime these pieces of armour will soften and mould to your body which offers additional comfort and fitted protection. It is recommended that the rider takes these pieces of armour out of the jacket when washing, however, it is highly advisable to keep them in whilst riding to ensure the three most vulnerable areas of the upper body are protected.

The next inside layer of the jacket is an ISOTEX® windproof, waterproof and breathable lining that works to keep you protected from the harsh and uncomfortable effects of windchill, to ensure water doesn't seep through the jacket and to keep your skin dry as it often becomes warm whilst riding. This drop lining covers the body completely and is attached to the outer layer. Underneath this ISOTEX® layer is a 140 gram thermal, quilted liner that can be removed from the jacket in warmer weathers, which offers a flexible jacket that is suitable for both winter and summer rides.

At first glance the jacket looks completely black, however if you look closely at the upper arms, chest and back you will see discreet areas of reflective material, that become highly reflective when caught in headlights riding at night. This inbuilt safety feature from Weise helps protect motorcyclists through making them visible to other traffic throughout all seasons.

The Weise Dolomite Jacket incorporates Weise's clever WRS (Water Release System). This system ensures that in heavy rain the outer layers of the jacket don't store water wherein they would become heavy and less effective, the WRS allows the water to channel through release valves that are discreetly situated at the base of the Weise Dolomite Jacket.

Weise have provided ample adjustability on the Weise Dolomite Jacket, so that the wearer can tailor the jacket to meet their individual requirements. The collar (neoprene lined for additional comfort), cuffs, upper and lower arms and the waist zone all have elements of Velcro® adjustability for a highly personal fit. A securely fitting motorcycle jacket can ensure that whilst riding at higher speeds, billowing is greatly reduced, which has a number of negative affects on a rider. When a jacket billows less it helps the climate within the jacket to become more stable, reduces discomfort and distractions, in addition to helping to maintain the correct positioning of the protective armour.

The Weise Dolomite Jacket boasts a high quality YKK® zipper as the main form of retention. This strong zipper is protected by a waterproof storm flap, to ensure the waterproof properties of the Weise Dolomite are not compromised by water leakage at the main zipper.

Ventilation is provided at the chest, lower arms and torso. These vents can be opened/closed as dictated by the weather/rider's requirements and assist in effective ventilation. The Weise Dolomite has an inbuilt 'exhaust' vent situated on the rear of the jacket, which when opened, forces hot air out of the rear of the jacket. As and when required, the 140g thermal liner can be zipped out and stored until needed.

Two large external waist pockets are situated symmetrically on the front of the Weise Dolomite Jacket. These pockets are waterproof and benefit from a zipper closure. Tucked behind these pockets are two hand warmer pockets which offer an insulated easy access zone to quickly warm your hands in cold weather. A single internal pocket provides a secure spot for storing personal belongings such as credit cards which can be easily accessed at toll roads and a large pocket (with a zipper closure) on the rear of the Weise Dolomite Jacket which provides a large storage area typical for keeping items such as maps.

Attach the Weise Dolomite Jacket to any other Weise trousers quickly and securely with the internal 8 inch 360° zipper located on the reverse of the inner/base of the jacket. Most Weise trousers have a raised back and 8 inch zipper already incorporated into their design, however, this can be easily stitched into the trousers if necessary.
