Yes it's a 1250 Bandit with a fairing, but it also has uprated suspension and a different dash.

It's big, comfy, lazy, nice and upright, has a gear indicator. Bags of torque and should be good for bashing out thousands of miles round Europe.

Only just over 6K on the clock.

A bike that's very well suited to touring and its done.....no miles.

Said it before, but your nose for sniffing out an immaculate specimen is impressive.

VERY shiny, congrats! Thumbs Up

Have you still got the bandit 1200 too? If so what are you going to use all these bikes for realistically, and do you keep them all taxed and insured all the time or rotate them?

I'd struggle to use a ZX12R and ZX6R as they are both big fully faired sporty bikes just being over simplistic the only huge difference is engine size.

If you have the naked bandit still too then again I don't see how much different this 1250 is or how it's going to feel like a million miles different bike to ride? But maybe you didn't want bikes that felt hugely different? I don't know.

Nice. Just what I could do with.
I'm looking for a tourer to go with my ZX6R.
You can never have too many bikes. Very Happy

The correct formula is n-1 where n is the number of bikes that would cause your wife/gf to leave you

Plus the additional formula n+1, where n is the number of bikes you have.

Going to use the Kriega stuff I already have on it. US30 tail pack on the pillion seat and a US10 on the tank. Hard luggage on these is too bulky for me and I don't like the framework left behind when it's taken off. The US30 is enough for 2 weeks away if you pack carefully.

I sold the B12 last year. I really liked it but the lack of any fairing was hard work at motorway/NSL speeds for any length of time. Hence the GSX.
Yes I keep them all taxed and insured - this one is less than £80 fully comp with protected NCB so it's not too bad.
They are in no way similar, you cannot even begin to put a ZX12 and a ZX6 into the same category. One is a big, long, heavy 200hp hyperbike that held the dubious title of world's most powerful production bike, the other is a small, (relatively) light, nimble supersport. If you rode them back to back you would see that they are massively different. They may not look hugely different but they are poles apart.
ZX6 - incredibly easy to ride and massively forgiving. Gets used as my winter bike and for things like track days and twisty stuff. Too high revving and buzzy to tour on really.
ZX12 - it's an animal that gives 30-35mpg on a good day. I have toured on it but it's hard work on really tight stuff and costs an absolute fortune in fuel. Brilliant for smashing out miles on motorways Autobahns at 150mph if you have deep pockets.
GSX1250 - different riding position, different characteristics, not in any way hard work, better mpg than the ZX12, also easier and cheaper to maintain.

To be fair, weather has been shit, the bike is a 260kg tourer.

I'm sure they will be trimmed by the end of summer.

No excuse! I've done a mere half a dozen rides this year, here in the frozen north, and even I've done better than those.

Grading: could do better if he tried.

While I will agree that its a nice looking machine I do wonder why this is something that is worth mentioning. up until I got the triple last year I never had one, and to be honest I don't look at the one on the triple. the only time I am fussed about the gears is when I need neutral.

I've always ridden whatever gear feels right for the road and speed, if 6th feels like its not tall enough, then your most likely going way too fast.
