Recently had another one, after a 13 year gap. A personal twist on the tree of life, with a bit of Celtic knotwork woven in. Going to work it up to a full sleeve eventually.
Anyone got/having any good ones? ____________________ Mpd72: I can categorically say i’m Brighter than that, no matter how I come across on here.

Was toying with the idea of sleeves. But then the world and its wife went and got sleeves.
Still want more but undecided where to have them. I have both shoulders done but they are over 20 years old
and looking tired. They were not very well done tbh. But I was young. The wife had a couple of tattoo mistakes all but
removed with laser treatment before she had a cover up done over a really poor tattoo she had done when she was 14.
She looked 20 by age 11 so the tattooist can be forgiven there. The new work is lotus flower themed, done like a watercolour
painting and very vibrant. A really nice piece of work, the best she has tbh. I really dig the geometric stuff. But don't
live near anyone who specialises in those kind of designs. You need a top drawer scratcher for quality geometric work. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

Said to the tattooist I didn't really want a tribal style, they look a bit twattish. He said 'yeah, I know what you mean'. Turned round, he had a shoulder tribal. Thought FFS, that's me getting the needle in deep
Sadly, I had one on my forearm at 18, which I then had covered up at 19. Looking a bit aged now, so want a sleeve to freshen the arm up, and hopefully distract away from the poorer one. Too big and bold to cover up. ____________________ Mpd72: I can categorically say i’m Brighter than that, no matter how I come across on here.

I can't decide if it's a blackbird or a crow. The Alter Bridge fan in me really hopes it's a Blackbird. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

I just don't get it. Each to his own and all that, but I mean.... why?

I also do not quite understand why people do this. It's not cheap and it's for life, unless you pay even more money to have it removed. But then, I'm that kind of person who asks why a lot, when it comes to spending money. I for instance never started smoking, as I could not see the point why people pay such money for nothing with added bonus of cancer. I mean, you don't really get high or anything from smoking tobacco, plus there are other restrictions. Alcohol I do understand, weed and other ''fun'' drugs sure, but tobacco?
Well, some would never understand the enjoyment of riding a motorcycle just for fun, for no reason whatsoever. While for others motorcycles/cars are just for commuting and work. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

Why? Because art! Why paint a picture? Write a song? Chisel a bit of stone into a sculpture? The list goes on and on.
Some folk decorate their house, their car or bike even to suit their own tastes, so my question is why not decorate
yourself? It's not really any kind of hinderance to any but the most high powered jobs, and you can hide them
easily beneath clothing. Mrs grr has 4 tattoos and a few piercings and still brings home pretty big bucks from her job
in the finance sector. If you met her you'd have no idea she was anyway different to how she was born.
It was considered shocking once or an indicator of time in the armed forces but in this time of extreme body modification,
a tattoo is merely a baby step into that particular world. Piercings was my thing for a while, didn't go to town quite like our
resident bastard Nobby has, but none the less people occasionally crossed the road to avoid walking past me and I
remember the stares I got from some others. It's also what caught the wifes eye ( She referred to me as spikeybloke before
she knew my name. ) and here we are 17 years later.
Tattoos are not for life anymore either! Removal is effective, no more painful than getting it in the first place, and
surprisingly cheap. Some parlours also offer removal services too as a way of fading/removing old designs before new art.
The guns are better, the inks are better, the needles are better than they ever used to be and as such the standard
of the artwork can be awesome as a result of this. Just choose your artist/studio carefully. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

Was never a massive fan of tattoos, for myself or for others. I mean yeah get them, but it won't hugely impress me either way, possibly because it's quite common now.
In particular I'd prefer to be with a woman who doesn't have any tattoos. Dunno why.
However, there is one girl I was seeing about 3 years ago who became the exception of all exceptions.

Of course
But on a serious note, what do people think a 30 year old tattoo will look like, it's a permanent indelible mark on the skin, so will still be a permanent indelible mark on the skin in 30 years time, it won't have changed, unless i have a sudden growth spurt |
Draw a picture on a balloon and then let some of the air out |
True, and this is one of the main reasons why i always go for abstract tattoo designs, as none of mine will look any worse for a few wrinkles or stretching of my skin......... you could even go as far as calling it "patina"
The same probably can't be said for the sort of folk who have life like portrait work done, especially if it is of a recognisable person, but as long as they are happy with, why should it be of anyone elses concern ____________________ Current Bike: Honda CG125 ES4 // Honda CB600FS Hornet // Triumph Street Triple R |
