However not at £8000 when you can pick a project one up for £800. My favourite part though has to be this..

These K75 (750cc) engines have higher compression engine and are known to be the smoother and lighter example compared to the heavier K100/K1100.

No shit.

That's 'professionally' done? Shocked

Oh FFS
The K75 was a decent solid tourer/commuter and the 3 cylinder engine was reputed to be much smoother than the 4 cylinder k100 which could get buzzy sometimes
I don't recall them ever being touted as an aggressive off roader machine.

But now, with this hipster form over function shit going on
these twats will spend thousands and do anything but put put miles on them.
And then to add insult injury they want others to join in the madness
and throw money at them!

I notice what looks like a shendingen 3-phase reg/rec on there under the seat. MZ 125s of that era had field coil generators and so use a switch type regulator with a seperate rectifier. So he's either done something very clever or very stupid... Which do we think it is?

Does have original fitment grey control cables though.

Perhaps the silver can above the coil is the regulator - I cant tell if the heat sink under seat is even connected..

..but my persnal hate (apart fom the seat are the 'bars - the kind that Spanish Inquisition threw out as too cruel.

He's probably fitted one of several aftermarket stator assembly kits that are advertised for such manufacturers. Powerdynamo's 'Vape' being the most prolific (and expensive) producer of one of them.

Myself, the original stuffs all good, more than. A lot of people hype over the replacement systems but I think they're a waste of money. If you want contactless ignition there are many easy and cheap alternative ways to achieve this, even building yourself if you have the knowledge.

Pff..

https://www.carandclassic.com/auctions/1989-bmw-r100rt-walzwerk-schizzo-scrambler-evocation-43VMqn

All I take from this is that the real Schizzo must be a poper khunt and no mistake.. (illegal - no pillion footpegs, battery terminals in direct line of rear tyre shite - expect to travel 100yds in the rain, if the knobblies haven't thrown you off by then) etc.. etc..

Edit: there also doesn't apear to be much travel (or spring!) in a the rear shocker that looks like it's off a chinese scooter.

I didn't realise how ugly that boxer engine is when it isn't hidden by other junk.

I may be showing my ignorance here but if one wanted to go "off road" wouldn't you want the lightest bike possible to drag out of whatever ditch you end up in; 2-stokes popular for their great power-to-weight ratio for example Thinking

I'm done with CX's but in an idle moment looked at this one
as at least some twat hadnt butchered the rear frame
The blurb is utter bollox if not lies

"Be the envy of your friends with this stunning Honda CX500 cafe racer.
The bike boasts a powerful 498cc petrol engine with electric start and a manual transmission.
With only 1352 miles on the clock and an MOT expiration date of 2018,

I bet the original clocks would say different

This 1983 model is a perfect combination of vintage style and modern reliability.
Oh rly? how wonderful.
The silver naked type bike has a capacity of 375 to 524cc HUH?
and comes with a date of 1st registration of 19830221.
Hmm.. doubt it Whatever the reg its a pre 82 B cdi type motor.
This exceptional motorcycle has been meticulously maintained and customized to perfection.
What? are you joking? Shiny tank mebbe ,but it's shabby ang rusty elsewhere FFS

Don't miss out on the chance to own this unique and stylish Honda CX500 cafe racer.
Oh do fuck off !!
