Nothing wrong with 'fat bastard' jumper size. They cover a multitude of sins, plus daughters love them... ____________________ Now - Speed Triple, old ratty GS550, GSXR750M

Oo, they've got some merino ones. I like a bit of merino, it works very well. My mum gave me some merino and possum wool jumpers last time I was home, and they're light but very effective.

I have no idea, but yeah ... I wonder how they are cultivated as well.
In my youth there were more squashed possums in the middle of the road than any other animal - on holidays as a child, myself and my sisters were encouraged to count how many we saw.
My cousin used to shoot them out of the pine trees at the back of my grandparents' house (with a BB gun ) ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |

Its a love-hate thing. Personally I find possums rather cute, now that I am accustomed to the strange zombie-sounding noise they make which terrified me as a child.
But I noticed in the NZ press lately that there have been recent incidents of kiwis found wandering in unexpected places*: someone's urban back yard, a sawmill , etc.
So maybe the possum cull is not only economically successful but ecologically
*i.e., not the forest floor in the dark o'night, which is apparently what they traditionally like to do. ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |

I'm aye suss of companies selling at too good to be true prices.
Deep dive reveals the parent company are not ChingChong but a long established UK outfit.
When the OP stated 'British Wool' eyebrow was flexed.
What sort of British wool?
There is wool and there are wools.
It's not as simple as the four letter word suggests.
Merino is not common in UK. Its often associated with Aussie drunkard sheepists.
I like merino and have worn merino ups and downs for many a moons.
And experienced great, excellent and cheap shite among the various iterations.
The feel, soft/luxurious/course. Affects comfort.
The tailoring, affects the look and aesthetic. (And comfort).
Easy to maintain?
Does it wash well?
Does it shrink?
That's just merino.
I may dip a foot in.
It's not the season to be selling woolies. Perhaps it's overstock reduction.
Storing stock costs money. And interferes with new manufacturing too.
You cannot pull the woollens over my eyes.
Does it last more than one season? ____________________ Disclaimer: The comments above may be predicted text and not necessarily the opinion of MCN. |
