Now that I only have a nice and tidy bimmer, she's been a garage queen over the winter and I am missing riding. She's a pretty girl and I want to keep her pure and unmolested so I need a slag of a bike to whore around and abuse instead.

Budget is £2,500ish, there or there about. Doesn't need to be in good cosmetic condition, just needs a current MOT and high likelihood to make it through it's next MOT. After that the scrappy can claim her.

Don't care if naked or has fairings just needs to be a seating position that's somewhat upright like my old ER6F.

Has to be at least 600cc.

Would be nice if it had an obnoxiously loud exhaust.

Anyone have any ideas?

How about a shafty for over winter..

..say an XJ900 divvy or better still a pre-divvy. Air-cooled simplicity and should get plenty of change..

What about the XJR1300? Just seen this and looks alright:

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/bike-details/202312054554458

Then again idea of a driveshaft is a little appealing as it means I can neglect it more and not have to tighten a chain every week so still going to look into the XJ900.

Yep the old Divvys and Deauville NTV650/700 are oft sneered at by 'real bikers' but do have a good rep for just doing the job they were intended for with little fuss
The fudgy is decent enough and the K75/100's may be worth a look too,
all shafties.

But, as we all know you're a self confessed slag whore rent boi, why not get a scooty
for your disgusting shameful dogging activities and stop pretending to be a real man?

At that money? Whatever looks decent and has an MOT. Specific models be damned, buy a bike that works and will work for a long time, but you aren't going to care about it. Don't buy a model that appeals to you, buy a model that meets the requirements. If it appeals, you won't ride it in winter and it's a pointless exercise.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

My point exactly, a divvy 900 is as undesirable as they come (although Deauville.. Sick ) , and yet winter workhorse..

A Deauville is better than a Divvy 900 simply because of the weather protection and built in carrying capacity. Both good but for a hack I'd far prefer the Deauville.

If it was to be used as a primary commuting vehicle I would absolutely get myself a Burgmann, they have tons of room under the seat for my dildos and other butthole gaping devices Laughing

Reason I am looking for a bike is because I want a bike for the backroads and a quick hoon.

Nice bike, but maybe TOO nice for your requirements.

Isn't the Deauville supposed to be super boring to ride?

£2.5 would get you a decent bike I think. Maybe a SV650? Mines nice to ride on a commute and still plenty of fun on the weekend.

Indeed... gotta say my idea of a hack is one of the grotty sub-£500 gaffa-tape'n'cable-tie Burgman 400s I've commuted into the ground in the past. £2500 is 'proper' bike territory for me!
